The advantages of manufacturing in the Bajio Region in Mexico

The Bajio region in Central Mexico stretches from Aguascalientes, San Luis Potosi, Jalisco and Queretaro which offers a lot to tourists and manufacturers who are looking forward to establish their manufacturing units in Mexico.

Bajio is the center of the nation and proves to be a strategic location for sure. It is just a 7-8-hour drive to the north eastern border of US and an easy 2-hour flight to the border. Being a central location, it helps companies balance rapid export routes with competitive pricing and labor availability in comparison to other border states. San Luis Potosi” The city has a giant industrial cluster and is the second highest manufacturing export of the area.

You may find lot of automotive, food and aerospace industries here. A lot of their customers are already in the area with its huge OEM presence. Manufacturing units can easily access to over 50 OEMs and over 200 T1 and T2 suppliers in the field of food sector, home appliances, automotive and aerospace industry in just a 3.5-hour drive.

Better connectivity

The developing industrial sectors is making the local government and private partners to focus in strengthening the infrastructure and connectivity of the area. Though manufacturers have access to the world via airports in Queretaro, Leon Guanajuato, Aguascalientes they are laying more efforts.

Private partners aim to develop state of the art industrial parks and facilities to aid manufacturing operations. Bajio has highest industrial space availability with industrial park Queretaro and industrial park Guanajuato being the best.

Potential workforce

The market of 45 million people has a major role in attracting manufacturers here. You will find trained, young staff in Bajio. There are also bilingual people available in the technician levels. In order to aid the local manufacturing units, a lot of universities and colleges have been established here.

Because of the rising manufacturing industries, several technical schools have also risen. The Aeronautical University in Queretaro is the one which offers all the services. It produces several bachelors and master’s degrees with PhDs and other technical training.

A good workforce develops a thorough industrial working culture. The manufacturing expertise helps several companies to find labor easily.

Get high quality of life of the area

A lot of foreign manufacturing companies move to Mexico and choose Bajio region because of the quality of life it yields.

There are several international communities established here because of the amazing weather conditions, job perspectives, educational options, surroundings and warmth of the people of the area. It serves as a great point for companies to set their facilities here.
