E-cigarette and vaping are new in the market and many sources are using tactics to curb the use of these products, despite a lack of evidence against these products. But there are some true facts regarding vaping which are prepared by trusted sources. According to the World Health Organization, the current effects of vaping and E-cigs are unknown. While the American Cancer Society has found that individuals with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease cases have seen an improvement in their respiratory health after using vaping products.
According to the 2018 National Youth Tobacco Survey (NYTS) the number of students vaping increased between 2017 and 2018. The reports are showing that approximately 38 percent of all students in high school tried vaping once. The FDA is considering these numbers low and there is no evidence that could prove that vaping had been harmful for those students. A study was carried out on almost 6000 high school students and vaping statistics show that vaping is getting popularity among smokers for their cheap prices as compared to traditional cigarettes.
In 2016, the FDA extended the authority of the CTP to include all electronic nicotine delivery systems and tobacco products. These products are now being regulated by the Center for Drug Evaluation and Research.
