ATEE: The Rising Rapper Who Preaches Authenticity Above All Else

These days, it’s hard to find pure unadulterated authenticity in the music scene. Yet Aaron Talukder, more famously known by his rap name ATEE, has authenticity in spades. He is a rapper who never fails to keep it one hundred, telling genuine stories from his real-life experiences bearing it all for the whole world to see and hear.

ATEE is more than just a rapper from the eastside of Detroit, Michigan. He is a passionate artist and storyteller who wants to bleed authenticity above all else. He started his poetic journey at the ripe young age of eleven, and he has never looked back ever since. His craft would then greatly evolve into compelling lyricism that would captivate thousands of people within his community.

His powerful storytelling would then trickle down to outsiders, and ATEE would finally gain a loyal audience for his music. He knew that this was his true calling, so he went and decided to pursue music as a full-time career after losing a total of 30 jobs in his entire life. He realized that he had no place within a normal career, and he didn’t see himself living within that space. So he took all his student loan money and used it to buy some studio equipment so he could start recording his own music.

The budding rap artist was only nineteen years old at the time, yet now he is on his way toward becoming a rising star in the rap industry. His tracks are laced with a powerful dynamism that makes them flow beautifully all throughout. Some of his most renowned tracks include songs such as “Glitch,” “Play the Game,” and “At All.” All of which are high-quality tracks that need to be heard, listened to, and felt to be truly understood.

The commercial success of ATEE is a shadow of his horrible past. His life has been plagued with struggles ever since he was a little kid. Coming from a broken home, he would often be the victim of bullying, which would negatively impact his self-confidence. There came a time where he would move in and out of jail and face betrayal at the hands of those he trusted the most. He was often stuck in a rut, struggling to regain his footing.

ATEE fondly recalls reuniting with his father after five years of total radio silence. He visited his father during one of the most challenging moments in his life, as his father was faced with a life-threatening condition. Thankfully, his father fought hard and fought well, surviving his condition and inviting ATEE to move to Seattle with him to start over.

Nowadays, ATEE is on an upward trajectory making its name known in more communities across the United States.” I am hoping they have a greater understanding of who I am,” says Aaron. “I also hope that more people will notice that I’m trying to spread awareness of being real and honest in anything you do.”

ATEE channels the power of music to help others through the toughest moments in their lives. He wants his audience to know that they are never alone in life and that there are other people out there who will understand what they’re going through. In the near future, he hopes to spread even more awareness about being a genuine person in whatever aspect it may be as he continues to keep it real as an artist, a musician, and as a friend.
