Shawn Germain booked his first job as a DJ when he was 13 years old. Shortly after, he gained a weekly gig at his hometown’s local Macy’s, where he regularly played for 10 hours straight and received a relatively high paycheck. Occasionally, he’d also get hired to play at his friends’ birthday parties.

Fast forward to 2019; Shawn receives a request to play for a stadium of 30,000 as an official performer at WWE wrestler Titus O’ Niel’s “Back to School Bash” charity event.

Over the years, his reputation as a DJ was not the only substantial evolution that occurred in this 24-year-old’s life. Shortly after turning 20, Shawn invested a quarter of a million dollars from his DJing revenue to start his own live event production company. Today, that company is well-known for creating a variety of once-in-a-lifetime entertainment experiences. Today’s Tomorrow has produced shows all over the United States, and now plans to take future shows overseas to a few unannounced international destinations.

But self-handedly founding one company wasn’t enough for someone like Shawn. Two years after initial development of Today’s Tomorrow,  Germain founded his full-service marketing agency, Tomorrow’s Group. And despite being in New York City, where a plethora of marketing agencies reside and competition is stiff, clients have skyrocketed in a relatively short period of time. The company now manages a roster of over 40 social media accounts, with the total follower count adding up to approximately 30 million.

When asked how the spread of COVID-19 and the consequences of a pandemic have affected business, Shawn responded by telling us he feels very hopeful for the future, despite the difficult circumstances. “We’re looking forward to prepping for the next set of shows once venues start to open back up and it is considered safe for everyone involved,” Germain states. “We’ve had to cancel eight shows in New York and one in Miami, along with some other surprise performances we had planned in secret locations. But I’m confident we’ll make up for it with the first wave of concerts once everything’s back up and running. We’ll definitely be going all out.”
