MikeTheCompass on What It Takes to Win as a Content Creator and YouTuber

In recent times, numbers show that the social video platform YouTube now has over two billion users watching over a billion hours of video content on the giant platform every day. Today, some of the biggest stars are successful YouTubers. Yet with all the glamour and accolades that come with being a YouTube sensation, Michael J. Mitchell is here to say that it’s not a walk in the park.

A successful content creator, YouTube influencer, and businessman, Michael J. Mitchell, aka MikeTheCompass, has established himself as one of the top go-to sneaker channels on digital channels today. His YouTube channel, A Sneaker Life, has gathered over 539,000 subscribers to date and collects millions of streams from sneakerheads all over the world.

Yet the entrepreneur and “sneakerfluencer” hides nothing when speaking on the hardships of a digital content creator. “While it all seems to be glamorous, it’s really a hard job to have,” shares Michael. “That’s because you have to constantly be relying on fresh new ideas and just hoping that the video performs well enough for you to make money if it is your full-time gig.”

The growth of sneaker culture has skyrocketed in recent years. Pop culture, sports, music, and show business have maximized endorsements on footwear, and sneaker brands have been reaping the benefits lavishly. Moreover, the sneaker culture has given a platform for enthusiasts to use their platforms to create a community around the love for sneakers. Whether it’s talking about design, the who’s who of the sneaker world, latest kicks seen on red carpet events and concerts, or anything concerning sneakers, audiences are hungry to know more about the sneaker world and craft.

Michael is one of the many who has developed a strong business out of the culture, but there have always been challenges. In a time where technology and social platforms change rapidly without warning, subscribers no longer promise success on YouTube. According to MikeTheCompass, the surest way to win is by creating momentum and consistency. “Just because someone has 1 million subscribers doesn’t mean they get 1 million views. YouTube has been a very rocky platform, and I’ve been on it since 2009. Longevity is what really wins.”

But when it comes to longevity and consistency, Michael has been religious. Along with his team, the content creator works hard to develop and launch high-quality content that will whet the appetite of sneaker lovers all over. Consequently, Michael has built a strong and loyal fan base that follows him, not just on YouTube but on many other platforms as well.

An entrepreneur, innovator, and trailblazer by nature, Michael knows what it takes to win the digital marketing game and grow a business successfully, even in the most trying times. He has the grit, mindset, and skills to make it big, and it seems there’s nothing powerful enough to slow him down.

MikeTheCompass continues to dominate social platforms and define the sneakerhead culture locally and even globally. Follow MikeTheCompass by checking out his YouTube channel, website, and Instagram account.
