Shantae Menendez: Entrepreneur Promotes Artists to the Top of the Market

Artists of the world find themselves in a difficult situation at the onset of their careers. Being known by the public and being praised for your artistic products take a long time to build up. Without connections or strings to pull, many artists struggle to capture their audience’s attention. With the ever-expanding spectrum of talents from different origins, the competition is similarly growing. That is the problem that a young entrepreneur decided to take on.

A native of New Jersey, 27-year old Shantae Menendez launches her online company, Talent on Edge. The company dedicates to providing a platform that would allow artists to promote themselves and get a chance to be scouted by clients.

Shantae posts photos, videos, and infographics of artists on the Instagram page – showcasing their talents. She stated, “How dope would it be to need a model for a shoot, and you go to this page, and you see one who is amazing. Boom! You can network and meet. Both are happy and found each other through my platform.”

Many of the artists who partner with Talent on Edge are models who want to land on photoshoot or video shoot bookings from interested companies. Shantae personally manages a team of models, but the company does not just cater to models alone. Singers, dancers, and merchandise get promoted on the page. A dance video of one Maxxo dancing to a groovy Chris Brown song will give her a chance to be hired as a back-up dancer for impressed clients. A post featuring oneMade By Crack can give him a photoshoot offer from a local or a national company. And one Stereotype Co who photographs the models may be booked for more shoots in the future.

Clients looking for talents can similarly benefit from Shantae’s ingenious creation.

When a client finds excellent talent, the company gets notified of the intention. The company then connects the parties. Different from many online marketing sites, Shantae does not set the price for the artists; she lets the parties decide for themselves – a testament to the company’s promise of unobstructed social networking and correspondence.

The idea is an answer to the dilemma of artists who attempt to have themselves acknowledged by the community and to use their crafts for practical purposes.

In another aspect, the ever-growing potency of social media makes Talent on Edge a timely and effective platform. As people around the world shut their doors and flock towards social media sites amid the pandemic, Shantae’s company holds more promising successes in the future.

A vision for helping passionate artists is the core of Talent on Edge. The company is as flexible as it could get – assisting a wide array of creative lanes. Shantae wants to help artists ‘create a name for themselves.’ Indeed, her company is not just a company but a community. She intends the page to become not just a place for clients to browse through or artists to be featured, but a ‘home’ where people can easily connect and express themselves.

You can visit Talent on Edge on their Instagram page. Make sure to follow them and Shantae Menendez’s personal Instagram page and get updated with the recent drops of fresh and emerging talents.
