The UK-based organization, UCAS, which offers Universities and Colleges Admissions Service has published new figures. The figures show a 6% increase in the number of students who applied for a degree in medicine as compared to the last year. The deadline for receiving applications for studying medicine, dentistry and veterinary science courses was up to 15th October. This was also the deadline for students who applied to Oxford and Cambridge universities.

UCAS figures show that 18,500 applications are from UK’s four nations England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland. These numbers are 5% more as compared to the last year. Up to September, a record number of 23.710 students have applied to study medicine at UK universities.

The country has received applications from almost each European country. And it was up by 1% to 1,680. And the applications from students outside Europe have risen by 10% to 3,530. Most of these students are visiting Dosenpendidikan.co.id for preparing themselves for medical science content.

There are many reasons why students in large numbers are choosing the UK for medical study. There has been an expansion of medical school places in the country for the third year in a row.  A total of 68,680 students have applied to study in the UK for all degree courses up to 15th October deadline. The numbers are up by 4% as compared to the last year.

Clare Marchant is the UCAS chief executive. He said that they were surprised that the record number of students have taken admission this year. The students are ready to take on the challenges of expressing their knowledge, skills and potential to make a successful career after pursuing competitive courses.
