Maren Morris’ latest videos show the artist vacationing in Hawaii. This track, “The Bones” is the 2nd single of her sophomore album called “Girl”. The artist communicated via twitter regarding this track. She called The Road to Hana, a tour that even Live Your Aloha suggests, beautiful but a hell of a trek. She went on to call it “kind of like the most meaningful & lasting human relationships we get to have.”
The video is edited in a vintage look. Even the costumes and accessories are chosen to show the bygone era. The color scheme has a very soft and cool effect. There are several close-ups of nature. Close-ups of plants and dew cut straight to the singer’s face. There she is seen wearing sunglasses adjusting her hat. This mood is continued throughout the video.
Jimmy Robbins and Laura Veltz have yet again collaborated with the artist in penning the lyrics. The lyrics are relationship based and constantly talk of resolution of conflict. The inherent strength of the lyrics lies on its emphasis on what one has got rather than looking outwards.
Interestingly, the lyrics of the clip that the artist tweeted says, “When the bones are good, the rest don’t matter…Yeah, the paint could peel, the glass could shatter…Let it rain ’cause you and I remain the same…When there ain’t a crack in the foundation.
