On February 2, 2023, Pavan Agarwal appeared on Mornings with Maria, the Fox Business program hosted by Maria Bartiromo. He appeared as CEO of Sun West Mortgage Company, Inc., (NMLS 3277) to explain an AI assistant built to help people manage household finances. The network titled the clip with his argument that artificial intelligence is boosting the economy.
The interview put a mortgage executive’s views on AI in front of a national business audience. Agarwal is also the founder of Celligence LLC and the creator of AngelAi®, an artificial intelligence platform for mortgage lending. Since 2022, he has explained that work on television, in the trade press, and on podcasts, and he hosts a weekly show of his own.
From Paid Airtime to a News Interview
His first television appearance came eight months earlier, on a paid program. In June 2022, the producer of New to The Street announced that the show would broadcast an interview with him on the Fox Business Network. The producer describes its shows as paid programming. According to the announcement, he discussed Sun West as a mortgage originator and servicer, along with the AI platform the company had introduced. The producer later listed the same interview in its June 26, 2022, broadcast on Newsmax TV.
The Bartiromo interview ran on a news program. It aired about two months after the public release of ChatGPT, when business audiences had turned their attention to AI. Agarwal used the segment to describe the assistant his company had built.
The Trade Press Takes Notice
By then, the mortgage trade press had started covering him. In December 2022, National Mortgage Professional published a profile by staff writer Sarah Wolak. The profile drew on interviews with him about his family, his father, and the company. It also reported that he posts a song of the day on LinkedIn to connect with others in the industry.
HousingWire interviewed him three times in 2023. In July, editor-in-chief Sarah Wheeler spoke with him on the HousingWire Daily podcast about practical uses of AI for real estate agents and loan officers. In September, HW Media chief operating officer Diego Sanchez interviewed him on camera for the Ten Minute Talks series.
Two days later, the publication ran a written interview conducted by Wheeler. She asked what people in the mortgage industry did not understand about AI. “The creation of ChatGPT is revolutionary from a tech standpoint, but its application has been incremental,” Agarwal said. He told her the industry had come to treat AI as a marketing tool, while his platform handled work such as calculating income and reviewing documents.
The coverage continued in the years that followed. In November 2024, Andrew Berman interviewed him on video for the OriginatorTech series at National Mortgage Professional. In September 2025, Matt Sexton of Mortgage Professional America wrote two articles from interviews with him. The first covered what moves mortgage rates, and the second covered AI and fair lending.
Other writers have covered him as well. National Mortgage Professional publisher Vincent Valvo quoted him in coverage of a July 2025 summit that AngelAi hosted in Washington. Andrew Samu profiled him for Disruption Banking in October 2025. In August 2026, he joined a webinar on the AI workforce that National Mortgage Professional published and AngelAi presented.
A May 2026 column extended the coverage further. Tim and Julie Harris wrote a HousingWire column based on a long interview with him on their program, Real Estate Coaching Radio. The subject was tokenized real estate equity. According to the column, the hosts challenged his view that the number of real estate agents would shrink, and he conceded the point on air.
A Guest on Newsmax in 2026
In 2026, Agarwal returned to national television as a guest on Newsmax. AngelAi’s YouTube channel keeps a playlist of his Newsmax clips, and the segments address the wider economy as well as his own field.
In July 2026, he discussed with Newsmax whether AI will handle people’s finances, the mistakes investors should avoid, and the role of human oversight. In August, he returned to the network to talk about the economy, inflation, and AI innovation. In September, he joined a Newsmax discussion of the latest jobs report and what it meant for the economy and housing.
Other Newsmax segments posted by AngelAi show him arguing that the United States could fall behind if AI regulation moves faster than AI innovation. In another, he asked whether AI autonomy is a threat to the financial industry or a defense for it.

A Guest on Industry Podcasts
Agarwal has also been a guest on podcasts for real estate and mortgage audiences. In September 2022, Real Estate Rockstars released an episode with him on the future of home financing. He described his goal of approving a home loan in one minute. In February 2023, Patrick Donley interviewed him on Real Estate 101, a show from The Investor’s Podcast Network. That conversation covered AI in the mortgage process, blockchain records for loan approvals, and his father’s early real estate career.
He appears most often on Lykken on Lending, hosted by David Lykken. The show’s website lists more than twenty episodes with Agarwal since October 2023, and it lists AngelAi among its advertisers. In March 2025, the two discussed whether spending on AI was producing real economic returns. In July 2025, he returned with an update from Washington on AI and crypto.
A month later, the show presented a long conversation with him on AI, blockchain, and stablecoins in mortgage finance. The show has since carried a regular segment titled “Weekly AI Update with Pavan Agarwal.”
He has also spoken to an audience outside the mortgage industry. In August 2026, Adam Goodman interviewed him on 13th & Park, a program produced by Ballard Partners in Washington, D.C.
His Own Show
Agarwal also sits on the other side of the microphone. He hosts The Pavan Perspective, a weekly podcast that began in 2023 and has published more than 150 episodes. Its Apple Podcasts listing says he interviews other business leaders and shares advice for new entrepreneurs.
In July 2026, Agarwal interviewed Sandra Navarro of Loan Boss & Co. about leadership and AI in the mortgage industry. That same month, he and Lykken discussed how AI and blockchain could widen access to financial services. The show features interviews with UFC announcer Bruce Buffer, Boxing Hall of Famer Sugar Shane Mosley, Pro Football Hall of Famer Tim Brown, UFC fighter Brian Ortega, Jeff Timmons from 98 Degrees, Prominent AI researcher Dr. Ben Goertzel, Ryron Gracie – the Chief Instructor at Gracie University, 2025 WSOP Champion Michael Mizrachi, Olympic silver medalist Keyshawn Davis, and many other prominent personalities.
Advertising Alongside the Interviews
His company also buys airtime, and reporters have covered that as well. In February 2024, National Mortgage Professional reported that Sun West was running its second annual Super Bowl advertisement. The spot aired on a national network in Spanish and on regional stations. Agarwal told the magazine that the advertisement continued a story the company had started the year before.
The same report noted that the company had renamed its platform from Morgan to Angel Ai during 2023. In July 2025, CardPlayer reported that AngelAi commercials featuring the poker champion Michael Mizrachi had aired on Fox Business and other channels. According to the report, the commercials used footage from his win at the 2025 World Series of Poker Main Event.
In September 2026, AngelAi announced a national advertising campaign on Newsmax centered on fair lending and Veterans. These spots promote the platform, and they are separate from his interviews and guest appearances.
The Record on Air
Agarwal’s record on air began with a paid program in 2022 and reached a national news interview within a year. It now includes Fox Business, Newsmax, HousingWire, National Mortgage Professional, Mortgage Professional America, and more than 150 episodes of his own show.
His subjects have stayed close to his work. He speaks about AI, lending, blockchain, and access to credit, the same subjects he writes about for Forbes, Fast Company, and National Mortgage Professional. In 2026, Agarwal continues to host The Pavan Perspective while he leads Sun West as its CEO.
