The advanced baldness therapy given by the UK-authorities has allowed the person to freeze the hair follicles which they can use later in life.

The Government’s Human Tissue Authority has approved biotechnology organization HairClone to begin collecting clients’ hair tests.

In a sample from each client around 100 follicles are taken while they still have good hair, then stored in a storage unit that is sub-zero. At old age when they start losing hair, they can then multiply cells from these follicles in a laboratory and inject the follicles at the back of the scalp to attempt to recover their youth’s locks.

This procedure is the first of its kind in the United Kingdom by its designers and defined as an’ insurance policy’ to deal with aging.

From the scalp, hair follicles are extracted and placed in cryopreservation. Subsequently, cells that were multiplied in the laboratory so that into the scalp they can be injected. Hair Restoration Surgeon and Hair Clone’s Medical Director, Dr. Bessam Farjo, said:’ Now that this amazing policy is here we can start baking hair for future for patients. Also, as early as possible the consultation can start.

‘We daily meet many people who are worried about hair loss and who ask when the banking system will start working.’ With this service, in a short procedure small sample of the flesh is taken from the back of the customer’s head. This procedure is helpful for the people over the age of 18.

In India, the cost of this service will be more than 1 Lakh and along with that, there will be an additional cost of the injection process.

After that, the follicles will be cryopreserved so that they do not get damaged. Before storing them they are kept at -292°F (-180°C) for as long as they are needed.

In January, Dr. Farjo told MailOnline: ‘The purpose of this procedure is to restore thin hairs and eventually restore new hair when required.

This method aims to create healthy and strong hairs so that you do not have to face problems in the future that you will lose the hair.

People are also considering this option as an insurance policy which they can use in the future. One of the top surgeons of hair transplantation Dr. Bessam Farjo in the UK said the amazing procedure is very beneficial for people who have a family history of hair fall or baldness problem. Well, there is no other procedure which works in this manner like harvesting the hair follicles and then storing them.

Hair Clone said: ‘Another organization has used this procedure but it is found that quickly lose their functionality when human follicle cells are cultivated.’

However, recent scientific breakthroughs show how multiplication culture system can be formed. This is the reason, HairClone Inc has now been created.

Patients who are dealing with baldness can have a hair transplant in which hair follicles are taken from the back of the scalp and then transplanted to the problematic area.

However, the procedure of HairClone is distinct because it uses unique cells in follicles called dermal papilla or DP to multiply the hairs.

At the base of the hair follicles, the DP sits and working side by side with skin surface cells to regulate hair shaft formation.

Cells are lost from the DP during the gradual hair loss phase, which makes the hair follicles short and the hair gets thinner as well as shorter.

With HairClone DP is bringing back to the shrink follicles and then they restore them and bringing them back to their initial sizes.

When the patient starts dealing with hair loss issue there is the possibility to thaw the frozen hair and multiply the DP in the laboratory many times. It would then inject the patient’s own multiplied DP cells back into their scalp. Removing the hair follicles can occur whenever a client chooses that they may want to restore the hair for future use.

Dr. Farjo proposes that individuals do this as quickly as they face hair loss for some it is in their 30s, 20s, or even late teenagers as they can keep a complete head of hair.

He even said that this is helpful at a young age especially if someone in their family has faced the balding condition. At a young age, the follicles are actually in good condition.

For the starting procedure, the cost of the procedure will be around One Lakhs and to store the follicles the cost will be around Rs 8800 per year.

The surgeon has said that ‘this process helps in creating brand new hair from where the hair is lost completely.’ The procedure is very minor which is known as follicle excision.

Dr. Farjo said that patients can get the treatment at different intervals to maintain the results every three to five years.

The hair cloning procedure is the alternative option for hair transplantation surgery which is very unique. Researched have also shown that in the future this method is going to increase with increased profits.

One concern with hair transplantation is that only those follicles will be taken which are healthy and strong. The number of hair you will lose the bald area will become big which mean the number of hair follicles will become less.

HairClone is forming the regulatory approvals which are required to enable follicle banking as well as cell expansion services to be provided to the hospitals.
