NIRS stands for National Information Resources Service, is an agency of the Ministry of Public Administration and Safety of Korea and it manages information resources of central government institutions. NIRS had adopted Altibase for a certification system to enhance the existing infrastructure solution and applications of them. For that, Altibase will safely migrate the cloud center. The collaboration of both the organizations will bring benefits for both. But NIRS will enjoy many benefits because it is facing many problems and Altibase can be a trustworthy remedy for all those problems.

NIRS was facing a different kind of problem, for which Altibase is going to bring some remedies. It wanted to establish an effective cloud center for all government agencies along with a certification system. NIRS is also aiming to virtualize all IT infrastructures so that the information link between IT centers can be controlled by one cloud environment. In addition, NIRS is also attempting to use MariaDB and PostgreSQL, hence it has chosen Altibase as a solution for all these problems.

Altibase is richer in functionality and features an open-source database. Its in-memory capability will provide NIRS a much higher throughput and lower latency than other disk-resident open source databases. Altibase can also reduce costs of in-memory capabilities to allow better performance on equivalent servers. In addition, Altibase is relational so that existing DBAs of NIRS can be easy to utilize Altibase. Altibase also has more than 20 years of experience and it knows how to deal with numerous crucial missions for peace of mind and accountability for NIRS.
