Standing out among the crowd can either be an innate trait and an acquired skill. Some are born with it, while the majority work hard to be “it.” Promising singer-songwriter Blest Jones has the best of both worlds — a sleek personality and the charisma of a musician. He also has an eye for fashion and the ear for music.

It is no wonder this up-and-coming artist is the next big icon in the entertainment industry.

During his brief two-year stint, he has already garnered millions of streams in his different music sites. The songs “Fool,” “Looking for Love,” “Back in Time,” “Pressure,” and “Know You Better” are some of his most listened to on Spotify. With a growing fan base, he is set to release his new album very soon. This NYC based but DC raised performer explained that most of his songs cater to the millennials. The era of this generation wants music that is relatable and easy to the ears. He has put these components on his sound, making them part of the playlist of the younger ones and the young at heart.  His genre is a mix of subtle EDM and light pop — a combination that suits his youthful and colorful vibe.

Blest, as an artist, is a head-turner as well with his unique fashion sense. He has already been chosen to model for a Calvin Klein billboard along South of Houston or “Soho,” Broadway. He likes to express himself in the creative work he makes, and all are 100% original content as he proudly shared.

But Blest is not just all face and fame. This guy has real talent. He is one of the music artists who earned a college degree from attending Loyola University in Maryland. He has also collaborated with some of the brilliant stars in show business. As a lyricist, he had written songs for pop diva Rihanna and rapper Post Malone. Some of the stages he was invited to perform are at the Reitz Arena, Orioles Park, and FedEx Field. The most recent one was at the Capital One Arena, where he, along with many advocates for the Black Lives Matter movement, showcased their talent.

In the past two years, he has already collaborated with Mickey Valen and Lucian, some of the renowned figures in the music business. He continues to make huge strides to success and stardom by having a decisive attitude. He shared that he knows what he wants and does not hesitate to go after them. With his unique sounding voice, he becomes distinct among the sea of artists in the industry today.

So far, he has been busy being a singer, actor, and songwriter. But, he also shared that he is a champion player in sports. Blest has earned the award as the All-Patriot Player of the Week in D1 tennis, and this achievement has made him the most decorated tennis player-artist.

Blest has diversified his present engagements. He has not only limited himself from singing, songwriting, and occasional modeling. He has also tried his hand in acting. All these are in pursuit of producing quality content, such as a few films set to release soon. This New Yorker is, indeed, the next contemporary artist to watch out for in the entertainment industry.

Making a name in one’s chosen career is not just inborn talent; it takes years of crafting your talent while remaining as yourself. Listen to “Fool” and “Back in Time,” some of his fans’ top picked tunes on Spotify. You can also get the latest news on his soon to be released films and albums through his Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.
