It is undoubtedly no secret that the music industry is continuously changing at an incredibly rapid rate. Every single day, different artists release fresh new singles with the hopes of making it big in the industry. And every single day, various musicians are doing their best to let other people hear whatever they want to say through their songs.

While there are indeed those musicians who stood out and are currently on the top of some music streaming platforms, there are also some who are still slowly but surely staking their claim. Talent is indeed necessary to make it in the music industry. However, talent alone is not enough. There are a few behaviors, mindsets, and practices that one should cultivate to go far in the industry.

With their experience and determination, Atlanta rap/hip-hop group Ma3jor League sets the bar high most especially to all up and coming musicians who, like them, are motivated to make hits.

Ma3jor League was founded in 2016 by Kevin Briggs Jr and Sherrod Mason in a basement in East Point Atlanta. Taking influence from the modern hip-hop sounds as well as the roots of the early 90’s and ‘00s era of rap, Ma3jor League seeks to pave a new approach to the genre. With a combination of urban beats, virtuoso cadences, and melodies that hit the listeners at unexpected angles, Ma3jor League is genuinely at a level of their own.

Fervent about perfecting their craft, Ma3jor League exhibits a pure mindset when making their music. As both musicians and story-tellers, their goal is to create a connection with listeners who may have shared their experiences. You’ll know that you relate to a song when you feel its lyrics pierce through your soul as if every single line was made precisely for you.

In an industry that is saturated with the ever-fluid trendy styles and whatever is perceived to be the new wave, Ma3jor League remains true to their goal of staying grounded to the message they want to bring their audience and the way that it is being told.

Similar to how one can taste the love in grandma’s homemade pie, Ma3jor League pours their heart and soul in every song they make, their passion and dedication bleeding through their music. Employing a very hands-on attitude with everything they do, Ma3jor League created their own legal entity with Ma3jor League Entertainment LLC, to formally manage their affairs and development. That kind of engagement with other aspects of the music business only speaks to their virtue as independent musicians making their way in today’s industry.

Aside from numerous tracks on Soundcloud, Ma3jor League released its latest single “Goin’ out Sad,” which is available for streaming on Spotify, YouTube, Apple Music, and other music-streaming platforms.

With over 32,701 monthly listeners on Spotify, Ma3jor League are surely on the right track to their much-deserved fame. If not for their hot tracks, Ma3jor League deserves recognition for their sharp, hardworking attitude and dedication to continuously improve their craft.
