Never a Dull Moment in the Kitchen with Simply Savory by Rachel

Great experiences and unforgettable memories are often made in the kitchen, where family and friends bond over food, laughter, and the aroma and taste of various spices. Inspired by the idea of immortalizing these kinds of good memories of aromatic food lovingly prepared for family and friends, Rachel Blanks established Simply Savory by Rachel, which features over a dozen complete seasoning blends that are perfect for any type of meal in any kind of kitchen around the country.

What started out as a meaningful wedding giveaway to all 250 of her guests in 2011 has blossomed into a full-blown business that Rachel hopes will bring a smile to every user’s face as her unique combination of spices evoke memories of home, good times, and the comfort it brings to anyone’s heart. While living in Tallahassee, Florida, Rachel became known as the Domestic Diva, a title she earned without even trying as she is naturally inclined to cook for family and friends almost every day. For Rachel, cooking is very therapeutic, a way for her to relax and have peace of mind once again. This is also what she hopes her clients will experience every time they use her spices. More than the sumptuous food they will make will be the new memories made that will last a lifetime.

At one point in her life, cooking proved to be quite challenging for Rachel after she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, prompting her to settle for some compromises in her own kitchen once the fatigue would set in. While she did not want to settle for the overly simple type of food, she understood that she had limitations due to her condition. Later, she realized that she wanted to be able to do more despite her condition. Seeing that there were opportunities to be able to do more despite her physical dilemma, Rachel took the plunge and started her own spice company, believing that by removing limitations, people would start making time in order to prepare home-cooked meals.

The Simply Savory by Rachel spices are commonly a combination of at least 5-7 spices. The spices are prepared without any fillers, toasted, and ground to perfection every day to guarantee their freshness. When it comes to her spices, Rachel likes bold flavors that leave a lasting impression on people and makes them want to go and get more.

Looking ahead, Rachel Blanks envisions herself establishing a small spice shop where people can come to smell, taste, and feel various spices from different parts of the world. She also looks forward to writing her own cookbook, a combination of all her wonderful recipes that she will share with many homes around the world. Not only are they fresh and carefully put together, but they were also made with love, kindness, and camaraderie. Simply Savory by Rachel continues to brave the seasons. It will surely one day become a legacy to Rachel’s daughter, Reagan.
