Shephard Services, William Shephard’s Product of Hardwork After Coming From Nothing

People always come up with an excuse for their failure to go beyond their potential. Not everyone wants to put in more effort to step outside their comfort zone. William Shephard, the founder of Shephard Services, wants to teach people otherwise.

William Shephard was born and raised at the birthplace of the nation, Virginia. He always had a knack for creating something out of nothing. As a child, William Shephard would wander around, looking for parts and pieces of things to build something. One time, he managed to build a chicken coop from materials he found lying around.

He also grew up with the resolve not to work for just anyone. William Shephard was aware of the difficult life ahead of him. He saw people working endless hours only to receive little to no acknowledgment for their diligence and very little reward. He understood that people were profited off others and that their value could be easily discarded the next day.

When he grew older, William Shephard had three children and fiance, who was pregnant with a fourth child. They were going through difficulties, being homeless, or as Shephard prefers to put it, a financial transition.

While any man might have given up and accepted that was how their life was going to be, William Shephard held on to his favorite quote from Dr. Eric Thomas, “I can, I Will, I must.” He would repeat the quote to his fiance to reassure her that life was going to be better. And eventually, it did.

William Shephard was able to find work that allowed him to plan and shape his goals. Eventually, he was able to start his own company, Shepard Services.

Shephard Services is a cleaning company that meets the sanitary needs for residential and commercial properties. William Shephard especially helps out city vendors, as he knows the difficulty of running their own businesses. They have already started to partner with some city vendors in the state.

The company offers services such as general cleaning, window cleaning, carpet cleaning, remodeling, and pressure washing. Apart from the mission to fulfill their duty, William Shephard built the company around the saying, “We’re family, not a business.”

William Shephard wants his clients to feel comfortable with the company. He is aware that other services just come and put in so-so work for the cash, but he reassures his clients that they are more than just a check and pushes his team to give their utmost best in their work.

Because he once had nothing, William Shephard wanted his company to provide other people who are in the situation he was once in with the opportunity to work. He wants to give meaning to other people going through the same hardships.

As a young black man who was in the system, William Shephard managed to pull his life together and eventually make his dream come true. He now has two companies, Shepherd Services and Nothing into Something.
