Listeners Are Looking For Immersive Music Experiences

With the world engulfed in pandemic, it has quarantined itself at home. The people are not only experiencing covid 19 related problems but also symptoms related to mental diseases and depression. They have been away from work, fun and friends for too long. This has led to the development of new habits among people. One of which is listening to music.

Music fans on a global level have started listening to various tunes and the time spent in listening to music has increased manifolds. People are using proper download lagu websites for downloading their favorite tunes. Surveys say that on an average the music fans listen to music for more than 18 hours per week. They are finding their comfort in different forms of music.

Listening to music has been linked to calming of mind and meditation for too long now. Music is considered therapy by many. The International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI), the recorded music industry’s representative body, states that listeners are now turning towards taking subscriptions of  audio streaming, video streaming, the radio and short-form video apps like TikTok.

The figures state that listeners are listening to 368 three-minute songs per week in total with the use of subscriptions. The study called ‘Engaging with music 2021’ carried out by IFPI is the largest of its kind. The study was based on the views of 43,000 music fans in 21 countries. The research also states the fans are not only listening to more music but they are also looking to engage more with new, dynamic and immersive music experiences.
