Coated Silver: What It Is and What It Can Do For Your Body

Did you know that silver has germ-fighting abilities? In fact, silver was widely used for its strong antiseptic and antibacterial properties. That was long before antibiotics became the workhorse of medical practitioners.

Modern-Day Applications of Silver

Sadly more and more pathogens have developed resistance to antibiotics in recent years. Thus, the search for the next best option to replace antibiotics is underway. One of the top candidates for the job is silver [1].

Experts are divided over evidence of the health and medical benefits that can be derived from silver. Yet silver in different forms continues to be harnessed in more ways than ever.

Nanosilver particles steadily increased in use across industries. That includes medical and consumer applications. Here are some of the well-known uses of silver nanoparticles today [2]:

  • Added to wound dressing to support faster wound healing
  • Lined on active clothing to inhibit odor-causing bacteria
  • Introduced in food packaging to extend the shelf life of the contents
  • Applied to consumer appliances to prevent bacterial growth
  • Used as cleaners to disinfect surfaces

Although the best available research suggests not all types of silver are created equal or behave the same way.

The Different Types of Silver

Silver molecules are everywhere around us. We can get it from food and water, and even in the air we breathe. Silver may also be introduced in the body via skin contact. Thus, silver is naturally found inside our bodies. The more important question is, “Is silver toxic?”

Well, that depends on two things. First, the type of silver that was ingested. Secondly, at what amount. These two factors will determine silver toxicity.

Here’s what’s more interesting. The body reacts to different types of silver in different ways. Some forms of silver can cause outright toxicity while silver nanoparticles may be beneficial to health. Even then, some forms of nanosilver particles are beneficial to health while others can do more harm than good.

A study investigated how the body reacts to different types of silver. The researchers concluded that silver nanoparticles can benefit the body. Or, suffer the body’s immune response. It is the physical and chemical characteristics of silver that determines how the body will react to it. [3]

Silver supplementation can lead to enhanced immune response. But don’t expect drinking colloidal silver nanoparticles to react with the body in the same way that a silver hydrosol or ionic silver would. Among these three, colloidal silver nanoparticles exhibit efficacy and acceptable levels of tolerance by the body. [4]*

Coated Silver — Not Your Ordinary Silver

Based on the best available scientific evidence, when it comes to supplementing with silver, the type, size, and shape of silver matters. So does whether or not it is coated. All of these determine how silver penetrates the body from the external environment to tackle your immunity at the cellular level.

These physical characteristics also directly affect how silver is dispersed inside the body. And, they also determine how silver is excreted from the body.

Coated Silver is not any other kind of silver. It consists of colloidal silver nanoparticles. It introduces a unique interplay of silver, its nanoparticle structure, its colloidal form, and the coating it is rendered with.

In addition, Coated Silver is the only silver supplement in the market today with an approved patent. Together, all of these give rise to equally unique properties that make Coated Silver safe, effective, and economical [4]*

Below are the top five reasons why you should choose Coated Silver over any other brand of silver supplement you can buy off the shelf or online today.

Silver Nanoparticles

Nanosilver exhibits greater surface area coverage. Technically, silver particles sized anywhere between 1 and 100 nanometers are considered silver nanoparticles. The smaller the silver nanoparticles, the more capable they are of penetrating the cellular membrane which easily equates to efficacy.*

Coated Silver contains silver nanoparticles that are between 10 and 12 nanometers. It is also the most consistently sized in the market. Most brands of silver supplements consist of silver nanoparticles that are greater than 10nm [4]*.

Non-Ionic

Coated Silver delivers charge neutral silver nanoparticles. Most other brands contain silver ions or silver hydrosols that contain positively or negatively charged silver particles.*

Thus, Coated Silver will not react randomly with chemicals inside your body. On the contrary, products containing charged silver are likely to cause unintended reactions that can damage your cells.*

Colloidal

By nature, colloids exist in multiple phases and will never dissolve in any solution. Colloidal silver nanoparticles inside Coated Silver will never dissolve inside the body. Rather, it will pass through — not absorbed but rather eliminated from the body via natural excretory means.*

Supplementing with the wrong brand or type of silver can be risky. Problems arise when such silver supplements are unable to exit the body. Typically, bluish-grey discoloration of the skin or cornea are observed when there’s too much silver inside the body. These are conditions known as Argyria and Argyrosis, respectively. Neither have serious implications to health, however.

There is limited evidence to suggest that regular ingestion of silver can lead to serious, adverse, chronic, and long-term health effects [5, 6]*.

Coated

By delivering coated silver nanoparticles, Coated Silver regulates the release of these active ingredients in the body without causing cytotoxicity. Cytotoxicity happens when the cells are overwhelmed with silver nanoparticles. This can lead to damaged or dead cells [7]*.

Using Coated Silver for Immune Support

Health should always be a priority. After all, it affects your relationships, state of mind, and productivity. Using Coated Silver as an immune booster may help you stay fit and always prepared to overcome intense challenges.*

There is sufficient evidence that demonstrates nanosilver particles are capable of penetrating and destroying a broad range of bacteria, viruses, and fungi [8]. Silver nanoparticles have also been found to successfully tackle SARS-CoV-2 [9], HIV-1 and HSV-1 [10]. Silver nanoparticles may also support immune response in fighting cancer cells [11]*.

However, studies remain inconclusive as to how ingesting silver nanoparticles can be beneficial to the body or how it can affect the body over the longer term.*

If you are considering adding Coated Silver to your diet, it is always best to consult with your doctor, especially if you are taking other medications and supplements that may react with this product. Stick to the dosage guidelines recommended by your physician or as stated in the labels.*

Keep in mind that it matters what type of silver supplement you will be taking. Make sure to choose Coated Silver which has a clear and well-established safety profile. It is also covered by a patent that shows the manufacturer makes it its top priority to care for your safety and the efficacy of its product.*
