Michael “Kleos” Chin on Entering the Entertainment Industry

People fall in love with movies over the stories they tell, as some feel they resonate with those stories. Those who feel a strong connection often feel inspired to share their stories and get into film to project their visions. Michael Chin, popularly known as Kleos, is a young adult who has a passion for the entertainment industry.

Michael “Kleos” Chin started working towards his passion as early as the sixth grade. He began by studying acting in performing arts programs up until the twelfth grade. From there, Kleos would hone his skills as he started acting, producing, directing, and writing in high school. He created a big name for himself within the DMV area during that time and gained a following on social media for his comedic skits. Kleos mainly posts on his Instagram and Twitter.

Having developed and polished his writing skills, Kleos created a web series titled “The Root of All Evil,” wherein Kleos plays a character who is faced with a life-altering decision when his teenage love Aaija, an aspiring dancer, enters the drug trade to make money to pay for a chance to stardom. The series proved successful as it translated into a short film. Kleos is currently taking his story to the stage.

Initially, Kleos posted his works on YouTube in 2016, but with the wave of streaming platforms becoming a hit, he came up with an idea. Banking on the trend, Michael Chin decided to create his own streaming service, where he will be making his films and web series available for everyone. Naming it Flameous Flix, Kleos will be launching The Root of All Evil as the first project on his streaming service. Because there are many streaming platforms today, Kleos is preparing Flameous Flix to be unlike anything people have seen before. He is set to release the virtual stage on the air in February 2021.

Outside of film, Michael Chin is also an author. He published a book titled “Almost Not Born,” which he co-authored with his fiancé Desireé Morgan. Almost Not Born is a non-fiction Christian-themed book that follows the trials of its protagonist named Destiny, who the devil tries to destroy before birth due to the huge plans God has for her life.

While others see a competition with rival companies and productions, Michael Chin’s only competition is with himself. His goal is to always outdo himself with every project he creates and show elevation.

Kleos makes sure that he uses his storytelling gift to show people the light at the end of the tunnel. Most of the stories he tells are directed towards the youth, especially in the urban and faith-based communities. Kleos’s stories often tell the realness of reality while showing people that there is still hope and faith in God despite who they are and what they’ve done.

The young entertainer attributes his success to his faith in God and his ability to network. Kleos does most of his networking through his Facebook page, “Michael Kleos Chin.”

Michael Chin’s website is due to be released early next year. However, his works can be found on YouTube. He constantly posts updates about his projects on Instagram and Twitter.
