Former Drug Addict Jeremy VanWinkle Inspires Budding Entrepreneurs to Recreate Their Lives

Change doesn’t come overnight. Like any other process, change takes time, effort, and commitment. About five years ago, Jeremy VanWinkle was drowning in depression, drug addiction, and suicidal thoughts. But he beat the odds and became one of Louisiana’s most promising entrepreneurs.

Jeremy VanWinkle is the owner of Bayou Coatings, the number one concrete coating company in Louisiana. The company has completely reshaped the market through its lifetime guarantee on workmanship and product. “We went from zero money in the bank to $750,000 in our first year and quickly scaled to new markets in the same year,” shared Jeremy.

Besides being an entrepreneur, Jeremy VanWinkle is also a business mentor and motivational speaker, aiming to inspire aspiring entrepreneurs to kickstart their ventures. His mentor programs strive to “bridge the gap between young entrepreneurs struggling to find themselves and growing them to successful business owners.” Additionally, the program provides a roadmap for every upcoming entrepreneur to help them achieve a winning mindset.

On top of that, Jeremy Van Winkle is the author of the bestselling book called Selling U. The book aims to empower its readers and pave the way for a life built on dedication and commitment. It inspires young entrepreneurs to take action in turning their vision into reality. “I believe that it will be up to young entrepreneurs to create a robust economy for younger generations, and I must blaze a path for younger entrepreneurs to follow,” Jeremy said.

Jeremy VanWinkle wants his mentor program to be a reliable partner everyone can lean on. He experienced what it was like to feel lost in life. Today, he wants to lift people up from the bottom of the barrel to the top of the world. Jeremy begins by changing his clients’ mindset and letting them realize that change is possible if they’re willing to work their way for it. Indeed, success is at everyone’s grasp if they’re eager to grab every opportunity, as Jeremy has.

A few years back, nobody would have pictured Jeremy VanWinkle as someone who would revolutionize the concrete coatings industry. He was a failing business owner, trying to stay afloat of his drug addiction. He struggled with depression and suicidal thoughts, feeling like his self-worth has reached rock bottom. But Jeremy recreated himself and carved a different path to get out of everything that’s been holding him down from reaching his full potential.

Unlike many life coaches and gurus, Jeremy VanWinkle has walked a difficult path in life and has been through change. He knows what it feels like to be in the shoes of people who have dreams to be successful but who doubt their own capabilities, feeling like they will be stuck in the same circumstances forever. “It is now my desire and purpose to help guide the entrepreneurs from the next generation to a bright future without having to walk the roads I did,” he said. Jeremy wants his story to be an inspiration for people not to fall into the same path.

Jeremy VanWinkle is creating a positive impact and building a legacy in the business community. Asked what he envisions to do in the future, he said that he aspires to create a platform that aims to recreate young entrepreneurs and provide them with the necessary fuel to start their business. “No matter what walk of life you come from, there is an opportunity for everyone to recreate themselves in whom they hope to be,” shared Jeremy.
