Stephen Scoggins’ success story is one that is worth telling over and over again. At a time in his life when he could choose to simply enjoy the rewards of his hard work over the years, he chooses to reach out to fellow entrepreneurs to help them navigate successfully through their ventures. After all the success he has achieved with his six thriving companies, he is now focused on creating a legacy that he hopes other business owners will follow as well.

One of the many things that Stephen Scoggins teaches other entrepreneurs is the value of having someone who serves as a guide. Mentorship is something very close to Stephen’s heart as he himself was gifted with it at a time when he did not see the need for it.

When Stephen was 16 years old, his father’s employer pulled him aside without any warning and started giving him unsolicited advice. The insights he gathered in that single encounter made him realize later in life how important it is to have a mentor, someone who speaks the truth and who is not afraid to make a correction when it is necessary. One of the notable things that his father’s employer mentioned was the importance of personal development as an instrumental in achieving success in life and in business.

“Steve was trying to help me understand that I had a choice to make and that I didn’t have to live the life that I had always lived. Instead, if I actually took his advice and began to work on the personal development, that would actually help me live the life that I’ve always wanted,” Stephen recalls.

That single encounter led to many more meaningful conversations with his father’s employer. Stephen is nothing but grateful that someone took the time to sit him down and educate him in the area that matters the most, improving one’s self. “He taught me to choose to be different. He taught me to choose to become the unimaginable. I can honestly say that nothing makes a dream more possible, more of a tangible, realistic thing than actual and intentional piece behind personal development,” Stephen adds.

Just as someone went out of his way to mentor Stephen, he wants to do the same for other entrepreneurs who want to scale their businesses to a phenomenal height. Stephen is very aggressive when it comes to motivating other business owners to take risks, seek out a mentor, and going through an inner transformation before pursuing success passionately. One of the ways he reaches out to other entrepreneurs is through his YouTube channel that features free short videos with valuable lessons. Stephen teaches the 7 Principles for Optimal Personal Development on his channel among others.

Through his book The Journey Principles and his website of the same name, Stephen looks forward to reaching as many business people as possible and helping them grow their businesses in a surprising and beneficial manner. In doing this, he is leaving a legacy that entrepreneurs in succeeding generations will continue to learn from and talk about.
