Reading Time: 5 mins read

There are a few artists in the modern era that genuinely tell their story through their music. Steph Lamonte is one of the few artists that genuinely shines through with his honest and deep lyricism. He weaves together bits and pieces of his childhood memories in his music as he takes his audience on an emotional ride.

Steph Lamonte talks about his early adolescence where he maneuvers life in wildly different directions. His lyrics go in depth with a metaphoric correlation of how his passion for basketball came to an abrupt haul. He tells his story as it is. He even goes deeper as he explains his constant spiritual battle between right and wrong. One thing’s for sure: there’s always something for everyone when it comes to Stephen Lamonte’s music.

Born and raised in Queens, New York, Steph Lamonte has been part of multiple events in massive venues such as the Florida Theater of Jacksonville, The Comfort Zone in Toronto, Canada, as well as Summer Fest in Queens, New York. Recently, he was featured in Thisis50 magazine. He has gained over 30,000 streams ever since he released his independent music four years ago, and he continues to captivate thousands of fans to this day.

He has also been featured in the notable magazine Skilly online, aside from having multiple gigs and various events. Steph Lamonte is also a Spotify verified artist who recently released a new single called “Healthy,” which sold over 20,000 streams within a single week. He then followed up the wave of his success with his latest album called And The Award Goes To.

Throughout his entire career, Steph Lamonte has created a positive environment that has surrounded him and made him develop as an artist. He is comfortable with being in his own skin and telling his own story, which makes him a true, genuine musical artist.

Originally, Steph Lamonte rapped with his family members until he worked his way into rapping by himself. Nowadays, he does everything himself when it comes to his music — from engineering, videography, all the way to photography for his brand.

He has over 14,000 followers on Instagram and plans to continue his artistic momentum by creating new music and mastering his craft. Not only does Steph Lamonte work on his own music, he also makes it a side gig to help other artists engineer their music. He also works as a videographer for other artists.

Steph Lamonte recently released a single that discusses the social and political problems that African American individuals face today. The song is sung in the perspective of Malcolm X and Martin Luther King, giving Steph’s own spin on the entire narrative.

Socially aware individuals will certainly flock toward his groundbreaking music. Steph Lamonte touches on politics and everyday struggles with his music and adds a touch of morality and self-awareness to it. He creates music with a purpose in an oversaturated music industry that has seemingly forgotten about the world around us.

Steph Lamonte is cornering the music industry with his deep lyricism and his genuine perspective on the things that matter. He wishes for his audience to know who he really is through his art, not just as a musician but as a person.
