Mistake 1: Low reinvestments into mentoring or education.

A lot of people think they can overcome some business steps and evolve to an expert just by doing it. They don’t know specific skills needed into the business model and just move forward. If there is somehow a problem, they will struggle to solve it. Thats why it is always important to go to seminars, buy courses or find a personal mentor in order to go though this Taff times easier.

Mistake 2: The focus is not on sales.

In these times there are a lot of fancy founders with great ideas but zero sales experience. You can basically have the best solution on the market, if you cannot bring out the message properly to the customer and sell the solution, it is worthless. Without sales, you cannot hire new employees, cannot pay bills or even scale at any level.

Mistake 3: Low leadership and work ethic

Young founders should work like hell and be an example for their employee and sales. People don’t do what the CEO talks, but what the CEO does. Be honest and direct to the people and push them forward.

Mistake 4: Unprofessional CRM

The biggest mistake is in the customers follow up. Usually it takes 7 times to confront a customer with a product before he takes the decision to use it. Most of the people avoid  following up several times, because they are scared, but this is exactly the most important skill for start-up entrepreneurs. They should write the data and the communication down in a CRM system and use this from the beginning of their journey. The money is in the list.

Mistake 5: No structure and controlling

The single steps must be controlled and every morning and evening the checklist must be controlled. If the goals or to do’s a not successfully done, look for the mistakes and take new actions.
