James Pak, known as the hip hop artist NyuKyung has been making professional music for about a year now and has been greeted with massive amounts of success. The Vancouver based artist released his album “Trap Harmonix” earlier this year, and the project put his name on the iTunes charts, reaching as high as third. The artist uniquely blends fast flows, harmonies, and catchy melodies into masterpieces that have grown the artist a following of 38k monthly listeners on Spotify alone.
NyuKyung grew up with a passion and love for sports and music. If he wasn’t on the football field, he was in his room writing song lyrics and recording them. NyuKyung ended up going to college on a full-ride scholarship to play football and probably could’ve gone pro in Canada after his college career. But decided on a different route and focused on a career in music.
In his short year in the music industry, NyuKyung has made a name for himself not just as an artist, but as an entrepreneur as well. Alongside his career as an artist, he developed his independent record label, Dream Music Productions, to help other artists in the same position. Currently, NyuKyung has a video to his song “Right Now” coming out in July that will feature YouTube megastar Crypt and has a rap EP scheduled to release in October. With a fan base that is growing by the day, expect NyuKyung to be a force in the Hip Hop scene for years to come.
