Scrolling on instagram one day Vigilantes spots a post from Ferrari Simmons of Streetz 94.5. This post was a rapper spitting a freestyle in a new segment called “The Dungeon”. Vigilante was unaware of that segment until that moment and set out to be the next rapper to win a slot on the segment.
Less than a week later Vigilante was scrolling on instagram again and saw the post he had been waiting on. The post was Ferrari looking for the next MC to grace the dungeon. The contest stipulations where that you had to get more fans to tag your name under his then any other MC. Vigilante felt confident that he would win the contest but had no strategy seeings to how this was the first contest he had been in like this.
After a day of pondering the best Approach Vigilante decided that even thou this contest was predominantly a instagram contest in order to secure a victory he would get his snapchat fans involved as well. This strategy proved to be a genius move in no time. Even with the day head start he gave the competition to work out he strategy he was still able to double the votes of even the highest voted MC’s from the previous day. Vigilante was blown away by how much his fan base had grown and how supportive there were.
A few days into the contest people were tagging Vigilante none stop and he received a DM from Ferrari saying “I See You”. This sparked a new fire under vigilante and also gave him sense of relief. He could tell by the abundance of tags that he was winning but was still on the edge of his seat. During the duration of the contest Vigilante was filming with multiple movies and often got the support of his cast mates to gain more attention from Ferrari. They would DM him and also make Instagram stories with Vigilante in the back as they tell Ferrari all the reasons why he should have Vigilante as the winner. A few days later Vigilante received a second DM from Ferrari saying he had won the contest. Mission Accomplished.
Vigilante crushed the freestyle in one take and that footage lives on forever on his Youtube channel. You can find it under his channel “Vigilante Visuals” under the title “Vigilante freestyling on Streetz 94.5 with Ferrari Simmons and Fly Guy DC”.
Vigilante plans to bring this same energy to the biggest freestyle platforms in the world in Tim Westwood and Funk Flex.
