Jason Stavrianidis, also famously known as ‘Jason the Gemologist,’ is the 5th generation of the proprietor family owning Venus Jewelers. He’s a dedicated entrepreneur, engaged in almost all parts of his business. Jason elaborates, “I combine a flair for artistic design and technical expertise in jewelry creation, as well as taste and client vision to produce stunningly beautiful, unique pieces that will over exceed my clients’ expectations every single time.”

The family business, Venus Jewelers, is an upscale retailer specializing in fine jewelry, including designer collections & custom pieces. They celebrated their 40th anniversary in October of 2019 and where even esteemed officials and leaders of the Franklin Township community joined the gala fit for a king and queen. Jason is an Accredited Jewelry Professional (AJP), Accredited Diamond Grader (G.D.), a Colored Stone Specialist from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), and a Certified Sales Associate (CSA) from the American Gem Society (AGS). He ensures top quality in their creations through collaborating with his clients throughout the entire production process. He believes that by closely working with their customers, he can produce the most beautiful and unique works of art. Jason explains, “I want everyone to know that jewelry is not only an adornment. It can become part of the wearer’s life story, help express their individuality, and represent milestones in their lives.”

Venus Jewelers specializes in the latest technology and a personally connected approach, which means the client’s vision will definitely be transformed into a one of a kind work of art the way they want it. Using state of the art computer-aided design tools, Venus Jewelers can create a 3d image of the design that can be previewed and adjusted before it’s finished. This meticulous and collaborative production process gives the client the freedom to be as hands-on as they would like in the creation of their order.

Venus Jewelers takes pride in the quality of its jewelry that has remained unblemished for the past forty years. The company has been voted “Best of the Best” in Somerset County by Courier News for the past six years straight, and given the title “Where NJ Gets Engaged” for being considered as New Jersey’s number one bridal source.

Venus Jewelers has become a force in the NJ bridal scene by having one of the largest bridal selections in NJ. It boasts the exclusive branded diamond, Forevermark, and a vast loose diamond inventory. By making momentous events possible, such as engagements and anniversaries, Venus Jewelers has earned over 500 five star ratings on Google reviews. But while accomplishing such an impressive portfolio, this large family business has managed to maintain a small-town family feel while growing triple the size of the original store. By putting out top quality products, it developed and amassed a loyal following.

Jason the Gemologist plans to keep the business running and maintain its high-ranking reputation. He is currently receiving an education in France but is still managing the family business and navigating its and outs. “As a millennial and the youngest of the crew in Venus Jewelers, I have been able to implement some marketing and selling techniques that are more appropriate for my generation, which has proven to be the major consuming power at this time.” And at this time where their target consumers are investing in luxury watches such as Rolex, Audemars Piguet, Patek Philippe, Jason has also ventured into the luxury watch market.

Jason is committed to keeping his grandfather’s traditions while combining it with the newest technologies that social media and the jewelry industry has to offer. In the process, he believes he can also simultaneously teach and influence the industry of gems, diamonds, and luxury watches. Jason is determined to be successful on his own path to success while managing a business that was passed on to him by generations. “I will continue what my grandfather started, The Venus Jewelers Legacy, and take it to the next level.”

Jason and Venus Jewelers create a unique and beautifully crafted custom jewelry for any customer who is searching for individuality and something out of the ordinary.
