As the global pandemic spreads all over the world, some of the world business community tycoons and high net worth individuals rush out to give away some of their cash for the good cause. One of the latest donation of the kind has been made by one of the most controversial character of the new businessmen generation. Rilk Dacleu-Idrac an American-Qatari executive and investor and until now more known for his lifestyle and controversial ventures than his involvement in philanthropy. Dacleu-Idrac’s philanthropic organization, The Rilk Philanthropy Initiative is reported to have donated 60,000 Covid-19 testing kits in states with high exposure to the pandemic such as New-York, New-Jersey, Massachusetts, Connecticut and Florida.

“#COVIDpandemic is not just a health issue anymore but present a serious threat to the entire human civilization with already disastrous impact on the global economy. Virus has to be stopped to avoid more damages to a situation which globally already feels like World War III.” Dacleu-Idrac said on a tweet just early morning on the East Coast

“We have been working round the clock to find the right supply chain and get the most medical equipments we can have to the doors of the sanitary authorities and health workers in need of them. Above all we are thankful to our suppliers and partners notably Qatar Airways Cargo who is of the greatest help handling the logistics and deliveries worldwide.” The Rilk Philanthropy Initiative said in a statement confirming his previous supplies of medical devices and equipments to other countries combating the coronavirus, including to the United Kingdom, France, Morocco, and Austria.

The donation comes at a time where Dacleu-Idrac seems to show more and more involvement in philanthropy following his organization’s recent campaign to fight starvation in the East of Africa. The move comes as well with a lot of controversies for a man who is known to collect controversies as much as he does with watches or women. In a Tweet dated of a month ago, Dacleu-Idrac minimized the global impact of the coronavirus disease arguing to be far more concerned by starvation and children malnutrition in some African countries

Malnutrition is a deadly “virus” that kills 8500 children daily. About 1 child every 10 sec! It however never benefited medias attention as #codiv19 just perhaps cuz he isn’t contagious, hence poses no threats to the privileged of the Planet.

Request for comments on this sudden change of opinion to his organization remained without response, while M. Dacleu-Idrac personal assistant reached by phone declined to comment.

Dacleu-Idrac rose to fame due to his involvement as dark shadow advisors tied with several controversies linked to the Qatari government and his very famous arrest in 2017 in Senegal over his alleged connection with a main opposition leader who founded asylum in Qatar prior to the start of the Qatar diplomatic crisis. Following being charged of money laundering on about USD 500 Millions, charges were suddenly dropped in the afterwards of a state visit in Dakar of the Emir of the State of Qatar to President Macky Sall. Despite M. Dacleu-Idrac being cleared from any wrongdoings, investigations reports at the time indicated his personal net worth to be in excess of 110 millions dollars, raising questions about his wealth. Wealth he seems to have no shy at displaying with his lavish lifestyle and parties all over the world which can be seen exposed on his social medias.

As the world is facing the serious challenges in the fight again coronavirus and death rates seeming not to slowdown globally, it is refreshing to see more and more of the people who received everything lining up to support and help on this global pandemic!
