Coronavirus has the whole world in its clutches. Till there is no vaccine or cure found, the only way to stop the spread of the virus is to stay home and wash hands regularly. Most of the countries are under lockdown. While most people can work from home, kids are suffering due to a lack of education for such a long time. That’s why many schools now want to switch to online education.

Students can take classes from home, and learning will become accessible in these hard times. Microsoft has come forward to help 27,000 schools establish online courses in the UK. Schools in the UK have been closed since March 20, and aren’t opening after the Easter Break.

It will help schools in the UK to run lessons remotely with the help of Microsoft Teams, Office 365, as well as software such as Minecraft: Education Edition, Flipgrid, Skype in the Classroom and InTune. All these companies have come together to promote online learning by providing their tools for free for the time being. But after this is over, one would be able to buy Microsoft Office Software to continue using their service.

These classes will be mobile-friendly as well as PC- friendly. One can also take courses on tablets and browsers. Teachers are encouraged to make the lessons more interactive. Microsoft is happy that technology has helped teachers to share their knowledge with students.

The online platform offers a safe and secure learning environment for students. Microsoft UK’s director of education, Chris Rothwell, is glad that teachers are investing a lot of time and imagination to make the classes enjoyable.

It takes a lot of patience and determination to design the online classes and keep the students interested. Microsoft’s efforts are appreciated because it is encouraging learning as well as the safety of children.
