In a global survey, it has been observed that more and more people are going with the option of natural therapy instead of opioid intake in order to relieve the chronic pain in the body. Due to this, a lot of people are consulting a physical therapist to find a solution for their body pain. Many studies have endorsed that opioids do not work on the root cause of pain and they only relieve the pain for some time. Whereas a natural therapy not just takes action on the actual cause of pain but it also treats chronic pain in the body.

Many researches have been surfacing the bitter truth related to opioid usage in drugs and one of the researches in 2016 highlighted that over 100 people died each day due to opioid-related drug overdoses. In addition to this, it was observed that about 11.5 million Americans misused prescribed painkillers in one way or another and it cost $504 million in total.

A recent study has highlighted that opioid prescriptions for pain relief in Missouri’s Medicaid Health care program have declined significantly over the last two years. In the year 2010, there were a total of 183,566 people who received about 52 million pills and this number stood at 23 million opioid pills for a total of 109, 610 Medicaid participants. The year 2019 saw a decline of 12% in the participants of opioid prescriptions and the number of pills prescribed reduced by 25%.

A lot of people are realizing the benefits of natural therapy to get rid of chronic pain in the body. And hence the demand for chiropractors or natural therapists has been rising exponentially across the world. It has been observed in many studies that opioid addictions come into action through prescribed medicines and people find it difficult to escape the net of opioid overdose due to the regular use of such prescribed drugs.
