Johnson & Johnson has to pay $300 million to a woman who had filed a lawsuit against the company through mesothelioma lawyers. A state jury in New York has ordered Johnson & Johnson to pay the amount as punitive damage.

It is not the first lawsuit that the company has faced through the mesothelioma lawyers but it is one of the highest verdicts in three years in a series of mesothelioma lawsuits filed against the company. Donna Olson is the lady who has received the amount form Johnson & Johnson along with her husband.

Earlier the couple had accused the company of asbestos-related disease due to the Talc which was once popular for containing asbestos fibers known to cause mesothelioma. Mesothelioma lawyers are helping many asbestos-exposed people to claim compensation.

Currently, there are more than 14,000 lawsuits filed against Johnson & Johnson through mesothelioma lawyers. Some claims are for mesothelioma diagnoses and others are arising from ovarian cancer diagnose.

The company is continuously denying the use of asbestos within its products but the lawsuits filed against it are telling other stories. The spokesperson of Johnson & Johnson has said that they are not responsible for either asbestos traces or mesothelioma and they will appeal this verdict like many other previous verdicts.

In 2018, 22 women from St. Louis were awarded $4.69 billion whose families had claimed asbestos from such talc products that caused asbestos diseases. Asbestos is a deadly natural mineral that causes lung cancer, Mesothelioma. It is prohibited to use but if someone is found ill due to it, they are liable to fill a lawsuit through Goldberg, Persky & White P.C. to claim the compensation.
