Touted for its healing properties and its inherent ability to deal with chronic pain, Cannabis has become a commercial and lucrative commodity which has been transformed into many products availe to the public. With the help of science and technology, the natural occurring cannabis plant has been broken down and synthesized into specialized products which fulfills specific needs. However, at the root of most products is the chemical compound known as Cannabidiol.

Cannabidiol, also known as CBD, is one of over 100 chemical compounds found within the cannabis plant, specifically extracted from the hemp plant. These chemical compounds are known as Cannabinoids, many of which are responsible for remedying many common maladies, ailments and pains. In most iterations of this product, CBD is without Cannabis’ main active ingredient, known as delta-9 tetrahydro-cannabinol or THC for short. It is this chemical compound which is chiefly responsible for causing people who choose to smoke the leaves of the plant to feel intoxicated, or “high”. CBD is a viable choice for anyone wanting the pain reducing qualities of the Cannabis plant without the psychoactive side effects.

Cannabis and CBD for mood regulation

Amongst all of the ailments that can be remedied by using CBD oil capsules, these products are capable of providing relief for mental disorders such as PTSD, General Anxiety Disorder and Depression; it can even assist with mood regulation and enhancement in general. CBD oil can increase your natural serotonin levels mirroring the same effectiveness that antidepressant medications exhibit. What’s more, through reduction of the neuroinflammation in the brain, CBD gummies, CBD edibles, and other CBD products can reduce depression and anxiety since neuroinflammation is a primary cause for depression.

Moreover, CBD has been proven to better the health of the hippocampus region of the brain. When trying to relax, CBD terpenes are a great option! The hippocampus is the part of the brain that is charged with controlling emotions. In times past, studies have revealed that people with damaged hippocampi are closely associated with depression, anxiety and other mood disorders. It is theorized that this impairment interferes with the individual’s ability to effectively and efficiently regulate emotions.

CBD for sleep disorders

People suffering from sleeping disorders such as insomnia are often plagued by other ailments which directly affect their sleep. More precisely, sufferers of insomnia commonly have problems with anxiety. As previously explained, CBD oil and other products like CBD edibles are adept at reducing anxiety due to the fact that CBD has been shown to improve the health of the hippocampus region of the brain. Therefore, with the reduction of anxiety so will increased sleep follow. Others who suffer from insomnia are stricken with chronic pain which hinders their ability to sleep peacefully without constantly waking.

CBD’s anti-inflammatory properties are amongst the reasons for its uncanny ability to reduce chronic pain. Muscle soreness, fatigue, and bone and joint aches are severely reduced with the help of CBD products. Finally, when it comes to insomnia CBD is capable, when taken in small doses, of causing the user to be alert throughout the course of the day. This allows for the sleep pattern and timing to remain intact, preventing untimely and unplanned naps from completely ruining your sleep schedule.

CBD oil and Exercise

CBD oil is even perfect for post workout relief; if you are somebody who suffers from lots of muscle pain after a strenuous workout then CBD can help you.
