There is no shortage of dual diagnosis treatment centers in the United States. There are hundreds, if not thousands of centers, that offer the services. However, spotting the center that will help take care of all your needs through the recovery journey and ensure full recovery can be quite hard.

This is a recovery center that offers treatment for dual diagnosis, PTSD, trauma, substance abuse, eating disorders, attachment problems, career burnout, nervous breakdown, high sensitivity problems, suicidal thoughts, and ideas, relaunching life, problematic transitions, and mental health problems. Programs available in the center include residential, outpatient, intensive outpatient, and transitional living. Some of the therapies that the facility works with to help the patients recover include equine-assisted therapy (which is also known as horse therapy, equine therapy, equine-assisted psychotherapy, and horse psychotherapy), art therapy, pet-assisted therapy, group therapy, individual psychiatric care, individual counseling, somatic movements (which involve techniques like dance, martial arts, yoga, horseback riding, and drumming). Other therapeutic exercises include gardening, hiking, biofeedback, reading, walking, cooking, energy healing, emotional freedom technique, dream-work, and fitness exercises.

2. Iris Healing Retreat in Woodland Hills

This is one of dual diagnosis and addiction treatment centers in Colorado that comes with a wide variety of addiction treatment and dual diagnosis devices. For dual diagnosis, they offer services for addiction and ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder), benzos and alcohol, addiction and anxiety, depression, addiction and bipolar disorder, addiction and eating disorders, PTSD and trauma, addiction, and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder. (OCD), addiction and schizophrenia, addiction and schizoaffective disorder, addiction and stress, addiction and trauma, informed care, addiction and sleep disorders, and dissociative identity disorder. On the other hand, they help treat addiction to Adderall, cocaine, opioid, Xanax, heroin, benzodiazepine, fentanyl, stimulants, and Klonopin. Some of the treatment techniques they use are art therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), family therapy, neurofeedback, SMART recovery, somatic psychotherapy, prevention of relapse, somatic experiencing therapy for PTSD, psychoeducation, brainspotting, and motivational interviewing. The facility also uses holistic approaches like hypnotherapy, sound bath meditation, massage therapy, yoga, spiritual direction, cupping, and nutritional therapy.

3. The Raleigh House in Arvada

There is a center known as The Ranch in the Raleigh house which is a Colorado rehab center that offers inpatient services. The facility has specialized therapies such as dual diagnosis, art therapy, 12-step meetings, meditation and yoga, rock climbing therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), animal-assisted therapy, experiential therapy, ecotherapy and horticulture, family systems therapy, motivational interviewing, nutrition, and medication-assisted treatment. Its programs include inpatient rehab (that offers the one-month, two-months, and three-month options), outpatient mental health, intensive outpatient program, continuing care, interventionist services, medical detox, and partial hospitalization. The treatment offered focuses on drugs such as opioids, meth, heroin, cocaine, prescription drugs, alcohol, benzodiazepines, and other related substances. In terms of mental health treatment, the disorders treated include depression, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, behavioral addictions, complex trauma, attachment disorders, and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Payment can be made through insurances like Aetna, Cigna, United Healthcare, BlueCross BlueShield, Humana, and Multiplan.

4. Mountain View Recovery in Colorado Springs

Mountain View Recovery is one of drug rehabilitation centers in Colorado that provide full inpatient services to patients. The programs it works with are the intensive outpatient program, partial hospitalization program, residential program, and outpatient program. The facility offers treatment programs such as adventure therapy, neurofeedback, somatic system and trauma, Eye Movement Decentralization and Reprocessing (EMDR) program, trauma and recovery outpatient program, and patient resources. Addiction resources for drugs including meth, heroin, alcohol and phenibut, Adderall, alcohol and Zoloft, alcohol and tramadol, alcohol and Xanax, prescription drugs, alcohol and lorazepam, and combined drug intoxication are provided.

5. Sandstone Care

Sandstone care facility has about 5 branches throughout Colorado that deal with mental health, drug, and substance abuse together with addiction treatment for teenagers and young adults as well as depression, anxiety, and trauma. The branches are located in Colorado Springs, Denver, Broomfield, and Cascade. The inpatient substance use programs focus on drugs like alcohol, marijuana, stimulants, and opioids while the mental health programs handle depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, anxiety, ADHD, and trauma. For co-occurring health problems, the facility helps with pain disorders, trauma, social anxiety, depression, anxiety disorders, ADD and ADHD, and bipolar disorder. The therapies which are used to help patients improve include group therapy, family therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance commitment therapy, and motivational interviewing. Other therapeutic exercises used are journaling, life skills, academic support, experiential activities, vocational support, and self-expressing groups.
