People who drink regularly experience withdrawal symptoms when they decide to give up alcohol. Especially those who have a habit of drinking everyday or drinking excessively in a regular pattern. Each person faces a different withdrawal symptom. Some are able to get themselves up from it while others have to take professional help to make sure they are free from the alcohol addiction.

Depending on how the person has abused alcohol in the past, the symptoms will vary from mild to severe. Some symptoms can leave the person uncomfortable while others are life threatening. The beginning of symptoms happens 8 hours after the last drink. Though some people might not even feel the effects until several days. Usually, the symptoms spike around 24 to 72 hours after the last drink. Mild symptoms may go for a longer time. Proper guidance through Los Angeles alcohol rehab centres is advised in such situations.

The common symptoms are feeling anxious, nervous, irritable and depressed all of a sudden. People might feel their personalities have gone through a change. They feel lethargic and tired most of the time and also develop brain fog. Sweating and headache are common so are dilated pupils and nightmares.

People experience real trouble in sleeping and feel nauseated. One of the severe consequences of alcohol withdrawal is delirium tremens (DTs). 3-5 percent heavy drinkers experience delirium tremens. It can become fatal if left untreated. In case any person shows DTs symptoms like fever, extreme aggression & confusion, hallucinations, seizures with high blood pressure it is best to call a doctor and take medical help as soon as possible.

It is always advised to reach out to the best California drug rehab centers to get hold of the situation. There are experienced professionals in hospitals and detox centers who are efficient in tackling the symptoms and treating the person so that the severity of the situation can be avoided. Going alcohol free is the best thing you will do for yourself and with the support of efficient doctors you will be guided to a better life.
