People are naturally apprehensive about life changes, especially when it entails taking giant steps out of one’s comfort zones. However, truly passionate individuals will courageously pursue their dreams despite the risks. Rohit Govardhanam knows this only too well. He took the chance and became the filmmaker and producer he is today.

After turning down a software engineer position with his decision to pursue filmmaking, Rohit Govardhanam made his childhood dream possible and has participated in different commercial ad films, music videos, several short movies and a few corporate animation films. Even though he had a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Engineering, filmmaking makes his heart beat, which is why he flew to the United States to pursue his passion at the University of California, Los Angeles.

For him, producing a film is the art of convincing the audience by reflecting one’s vision onto the screen and mesmerizing them with the visuals. Filmmaking is far more than just pointing a camera at various subjects. To carry it out successfully, the conceptualization of the film should be completed in pre-production. Having a solid foundation in pre-production makes the rest look like a cakewalk. The audience plays a vital role, and considering the elements that would please them should be considered. Rohit Govardhanam strives for perfection and wants each shot to be precise. He immerses and feels for the characters to understand their likes and dislikes while pushing his limits outside of his comfort zone to produce a remarkable masterpiece.

Rohit Govardhanam’s passion and vision to create his art through films are expressed at Govardhanam Films. Like him, his team members are composed of passionate, young graduates from renowned film schools like the University of California, University of Southern California, and New York Film Academy. These dreamers have their role model, and that is James Cameron, as they were inspired by how he brought life in creating the film “The Terminator.” Like their role model, they all aspire to bring their dreams and ideas to film and make them a reality.

Govardhanam Films focuses on innovative concepts with a refreshing approach. They have a wealth of experience and expertise in ad film making, commercials, music videos, animations, award-winning short films, and live events. The company consists of three departments: animation, live-action production, and post-production (editorial, visual effects and sound mix). The team has an undying dedication to fulfill the client’s requirements by providing them professional work with the best quality within the assigned budget.

Rohit Govardhanam is currently working on music videos, commercials, a web series, and a feature film that will hit sets soon to mesmerize the public. He is indeed the living example of the quote, “chase your dreams.” He gladly took the risk and was not afraid of the sudden change in his life events. He will be the person he dreams of ever since and will become a much greater person tomorrow.
