North East protein snack brand, Oatein has launched its first vegan product with the help of crowdfunding. Andy Dixon and John Paul Gardner, who are the founders of Oatein, have recently secured a £50,000 investment deal with Dragon’s Den that is run by an entrepreneur Peter Jones. The founders of Oatein have developed a new snack range called Oatein Millionaire Crunch which includes vegan options. It combines the layers of chocolate and caramel on a bed of crunchy protein oats.

Oatein launched a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter to raise £30,000 for the launch of the new vegan product. The pledges for crowdfunding were started from £5. Oatein gave rewards to supporters for taking the first opportunity to try new products. The supporters who invested more than £750 received the whole Oatein range and a 50% discount on all Oatein food supplements. The campaign ran for 30 days on Kickstarter to gather momentum and support from worldwide health and fitness seekers.
