Aroundtown has developed and built an office building and a logistics hall with an area of about 7,500 m² for DHL Express, the international logistics company. The property is located in the Teltowkanal-Süd industrial area on the Industriestraße 32-35 site in Berlin-Tempelhof, south of the former Tempelhof city airport.

Construction started in September 2019 and was completed by October 2020. It was handed over on schedule to the DHL Express tenant and will have a contract term of 15 years.

This site forms part of the commercial real estate portfolio of Aroundtown SA. It is ideally located at Berlin-Tempelhof’s Industriestraße 32-35 and lies between the new BER airport in the south of Berlin and Berlin’s city center. It provides easy access to the long-distance train station Berlin-Südkreuz and the city highway. The area also offers new construction opportunities and additional development for future company settlements.

Aroundtown invests in high quality properties that generate an income and have potential for value-add. These are located centrally in large cities in Europe, primarily in Germany, the UK and the Netherlands. S&P rates Aroundtown SA as BBB+, making it the highest rated and largest listed commercial real estate company in Germany. Its shares are traded under the symbol AT1 on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange’s Prime Standard.

The perpetual notes and main bond investors include GIC, ECB, Deutsche-Bank, Union-Investment, Credit-Suiss, UBS, Pictet, M&G, Credit Agricole, Toronto Dominion Bank, and many other big institutional investors.

Controlled by Yakir Gabay (יקיר גבאי), Avisco holds the most shares in Aroundtown at 10%. This followed by the 5% holding by Blackrock. Other foremost shareholders include Vanguard, Norges, Bank of Montreal, BNP Paribas, Allianz, Aliance-Bernstein, Japan’s Government investment fund, State-Street, Dekabank, and many other leading investors from across the globe.
