There’s nothing more important than the water we drink than the air we breathe, said Erik Bernal, CEO of Elite Water Systems based in San Antonio, TX.

Water is important for health and wellness, and Erik Bernal has plugged himself to the center of this in the United States. He has committed himself to propagate measures that ensure every home in the United States has clean water. His journey with water quality began in August 2005 in the wake of Hurricane Katrina in Southern Louisiana. Erik Bernal became worried about the environmental impact of the hurricane and then began studying the challenges that come with inadequate water quality.

He took on various roles in the Central US, and by 2007, he got an exclusive contract with GE Water and Pentair Filtration for San Antonio, Texas. Over the past thirteen years, Erik has expanded his reach to Central and South Texas and has now become the largest Pentair Residential Water dealer in the United States. He then augmented his business in 2017 and added indoor air quality solutions to his portfolio. Working with arguably one of the top air quality filtration manufacturers in the world, Healthway Home Products, together they conceptualized a national residential builder program, Certified Pure Wellness, which is now the nation’s  #1 healthy home concept.

In Erik Bernal’s words, “I see our company as the most comprehensive residential health and wellness solutions provider in America. We provide home builders and homeowners the Avengers of health and wellness solutions that nurture your health while preserving and enhancing the home’s performance as it relates to air and water. As in the fitness industry, to be healthy, you need a clean dietary routine and what’s more important than air and water? With that said, a home will likely be the single largest investment of your lifetime, it might as well be a healthy one, “ Bernal passionately indicated.

His focus is to nurture the occupants health while simultaneously utilizing diagnostic monitors to detect unhealthy pollutants, events and trends which then communicate with your filtration components to correct the event. Imagine if your home’s respiratory system (HVAC) was equipped to detect and filter out any asthma or allergy triggers like pollen and pet dander from being inhaled or any viral pathogens that cause cold and flu viruses! What if your circulatory system (plumbing fixtures) provided you medically calibrated water that optimized the body’s organ functionality and gave you a natural anti-aging solution with just a turn of a lever? Worry-free water and air 24/7, plain and simple.

Bernal’s goal is to ensure that every building that people occupy has a high Health IQ that keeps the entire space free of viral and bacterial aerosols or pathogens in the air and water. Creating a safe living environment in homes, residential buildings, hotels, and schools for everyone is the ultimate goal that Erik wants to achieve. He believes strongly that a safe environment makes everyone worry less and more focused on the things that matter to the world’s development.

Erik is championing affordable must-have wellness solutions for every home and built environment by working America’s leading homebuilders, commercial developers, architects, and the medical community.
