The London real estate market is one of the most sought after places for housing. There are several things to be kept in mind before buying a house in the dream city. One of the things that needs utmost focus is the location. Even a slight shift from the desired location can put a lot of burden on commuting.

According to experts, Central London is well suited for expats. This area is mostly preferred by young professionals, one of the reasons being availability of some expert mortgage broker services. It is even popular with young couples who need things to be in close reach. This part of the city is on the expensive side. It is perfect for people for whom budget is not a problem and convenience is on top priority.

There are a few boroughs when it comes to staying near Central London. On the Northern side there are Islington, Camden and Barnet. Barnet’s popularity is on the rise. Prices of Islington and Camden are also going up because of the demand. Barnet is extremely popular among families.

On the western side of the city, Fulham and Hammersmith are two most popular areas. Things changed for the Eastern side of the city post London Olympics. Places that saw development after the sporting event are Newham and Stratford.

As far as pricing goes, Croydon offers houses under £400,000. This is the same for central London. Prices for Wandsworth are between £600-700,000. These areas are excellent in terms of transport, schooling, parks and other facilities.

Before booking any house it is highly recommended to check available transport options. This can be a major deal breaker if not selected properly. Good research before buying is highly recommended.
