Inside MWC 2026: See How China Mobile Leads the Tech Innovation Wave

BARCELONA, March 2, 2026— As the spring breeze stirs the tide of technology, China Mobile arrives on the Mediterranean shores with a bold vision of ‘Carbon-Silicon Symbiosis, Co-Creating the AI+ Future’. At the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2026, The Chinese telecommunications giant unveils innovations across its three core businesses—Mobile Connectivity, Mobile Computing, and Mobile AI, highlighting its technological strength, innovation capabilities, and commitment to driving global digital-intelligent transformation.

Inside the Shift That Challenged Biologics Manufacturing Norms

China Mobile has deployed the world’s largest 5G-A network, covering more than 330 cities. At the show floor, visitors can experience the network’s low-latency capabilities firsthand through interactive demonstrations, including a 5G-A-powered robot that plays rock-paper-scissors with guests.

Beyond entertainment, real-world industrial applications await in the pavilion. Several European smart industrial parks serve as international benchmarks, demonstrating how China Mobile’s 5G-A passive IoT platform enables intelligent security systems, integrated energy management, and frictionless access. These deployments offer a replicable model for AI-enhanced smart campuses worldwide.

The company’s autonomous network solutions, recognized with four TM Forum Global Excellence Awards, are also on display. By leveraging AI and data-driven operations, the system delivers network services with ‘zero waiting, zero faults, and zero touch’, significantly reducing costs while improving efficiency.

Looking ahead, China Mobile sheds light on a 6G-powerd future. One exhibit features multiple intelligent agents collaborating and making autonomous decisions in a commercial service scenario, offering visitors a preview of the communication capabilities that could define the next decade.

Mobile Computing as a Public Utility

If communication networks are highways of the digital age, China Mobile sees computing power as an engine. The company, aiming to lead in global sci-tech services, remains committed to making computing power an accessible, on-demand public service.

At MWC, China Mobile showcases its full-spectrum computing ecosystem, which includes two ultra-large AI computing clusters—each exceeding 10,000 AI cards—and groundbreaking integrated computing-network technologies. Its 115.2T high-capacity Scale-Across interconnection device enables training efficiency above 98 percent across distances of more than 100 kilometers, providing low-cost, secure connectivity for large-scale AI clusters.

The company’s’ integrated computing-network-intelligence system creates a closed-loop framework combining network sensing, computing, and AI services, delivering autonomous and seamless intelligent experiences at the edge.

Globally, China Mobile has built extensive infrastructure to support its computing ambitions. The company operates more than 100 submarine and terrestrial cable systems connecting major regions including Asia-Pacific, Asia-Europe, Asia-Americas, and the Middle East and Africa. With 446 points of presence across 95 countries and regions, and 289 data centers worldwide, China Mobile leads among Chinese operators in global reach.

Its Hong Kong Fo Tan Data Center, designed to support computing capacity of over 26 EFLOPS, is positioned to become a leading intelligent computing hub in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

Unleashing Intelligence: Enabling an All-Scenario Intelligent Future

China Mobile continues to strengthen its ‘Mobile Connectivity + Mobile Computing’ foundation while unlocking the value of its core capabilities to support global digital intelligence. Its AI showcase spans consumer applications and industry scenarios, built on its Jiutian foundation model and Wutong big data platform.

The ‘Lingxi’ AI assistant takes center stage in consumer applications. The Lingxi home agent functions as an all-in-one household manager, allowing users to control security systems, monitor health, initiate video calls, and access entertainment through simple voice commands. A Lingxi-powered AI smartphone can automatically generate personalized travel itineraries on request, while the upgraded Lingxi messaging agent offers more than 70 intelligent services covering dining, reservations, travel, and entertainment through conversational interaction.

In a demonstration of embodied AI, an unmanned restaurant features robots collaborating seamlessly on ordering, food preparation, and delivery.

Sports fans can experience AI+ Smart Sport Viewing, which uses 3D True View” technology to create immersive stadium experiences with 360-degree panoramic perspectives. The company also highlights recent consumer innovations including AI-powered Video Ringback Tones that delivered New Year greetings in local dialects during the Spring Festival, and ‘Star AI Agents’ offering companionship and conversation for the Lantern Festival.

Industrial applications demonstrate AI’s transformative potential across sectors. In the AI + New Industrialization zone, China Mobile presents an AI large model system developed for the petrochemical industry that compresses reporting time from one day to one hour while boosting unit stability to 99.9 percent. More than ten high-value scenarios across the industry value chain are now AI-enabled.

AI + Smart Cities solutions achieve second-level response and closed-loop management for urban governance events, while AI + Smart Ports and AI + Smart Education offerings transform Chinese innovations into globally replicable practices.

The company is also pioneering AI + Low-Altitude Economy applications. Its integrated ‘End + Network + Cloud’ low-altitude intelligent technology system addresses critical challenges of invisibility, unmanageability, and ineffective use in drone operations. Using 5G-A integrated sensing and communication technology, the system achieves detection and warning within five seconds, reducing false alarm rates by 80 percent compared to traditional methods. China Mobile leads the drafting of multiple international industry standards for drones and communications, with patents granted in four countries.

China Mobile’s MWC 2026 presentation offers more than a technology showcase—it provides a window into a future where advanced communications, ubiquitous computing power, and powerful AI are deeply integrated into daily life and industrial processes.

Going forward, China Mobile will stay true to the vision of building a world-class sci-tech services enterprise. Through relentless technological innovation and open, inclusive ecosystem development, it aims to deliver intelligent and accessible digital solutions that contribute to high-quality, sustainable socio-economic development across the globe.
