When it comes to the combining of multiple worlds, Firas Rahi excels. With a passion for art, architecture,  product design, and the automotive industry, Rahi brings forth incredible realism talent.

Born and raised in Lebanon, Rahi began expressing himself artistically through painting. He nurtured his talent by participating in after-school activities with great dedication until age 18, when he began private lessons that lasted through out graduating high school. Since graduating with a degree in Architecture from Notre Dame University in 2014, Rahi has worked in the construction industry. Exploring his areas of interest, Rahi showcased his art in several workshops while creating a space for other artists to develop their skills further. He worked continuously to discover ways to merge his many passions.

One of Rahi’s earliest series was CLASSICS, a collection of pieces depicting automobiles built before 2000. To Rahi, cars fall somewhere between the delicate categories of art and architecture, considering their unique relationship with design, space, safety, details, and character.

Following the Beirut bombing, Rahi presented FACES, a sequence honoring the many fathers, mothers, men, and women battling to improve Lebanon. In the two paintings, Faces of Power and Faces of Empowerment, Rahi juxtaposes the idea of the warrior and the victim, rendering them in a state of peculiar conflict. These paintings’ use of power illustrates how individuals struggle with the dual nature of warriorhood and victimhood, revealing the fine line between the two and how individual decisions can tilt the scales in favor of one versus the other.

In November 2022, he debuted his first solo exhibition, Infatuated. The series portrays the contemporary life of a Lebanese woman living in a traditional Lebanese home. It ponders her sensual infatuation with her lover, Beirut, whom she misses and whose return she eagerly anticipates.

Melding different art forms and mediums can lead the artist and his work to exciting places. Rahi demonstrates this idea clearly, his disparate styles and subjects weaving themselves into something truly unique. Drive into Rahi’s breathtaking art by keeping up with his work via his social media platforms.
