We all have our travel bucket list and one of the most popular destinations is the amazing country of Japan, the Land of the Rising Sun. Mary Andaya, a flight attendant for United Airlines and travel influencer, recently visited Japan and documented her trip on her Instagram account. Her 6-day journey took her to Tokyo and Kyoto as she experienced what Japan had to offer. Let’s take a closer look at how this travel influencer explored these two cities.

In Tokyo, Mary explored the city and found that it was full of organization and nice people. She noted that if you really want to experience the culture of Japan then Kyoto is the place to go and that flights from Tokyo are frequent and convenient. She explored Tokyo for a couple days, but wanted to get more of an authentic Japan culture experience so she flew from Tokyo to Osaka and then drove to Kyoto.

Kyoto was home to some amazing sights such as temples, gardens, food, and even a bamboo forest! Though Mary didn’t have the chance to do the traditional tea ceremony this go-around (it requires advanced booking), she still managed to capture some incredible memories. One highlight was going to Fushimi Inari Shrine and climbing up 12000 steps to Mount Inari while walking through thousands of gates. Her pictures show just how beautiful this place is!

Mary’s journey in Japan also included exploring some unique museums like The National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation (Miraikan) which showcases interactive exhibits on current scientific topics like outer space research or DNA analysis. There were also plenty of opportunities for shopping at all kinds of different stores from vintage fashion boutiques to electronic stores where you can find anything from cameras to kitchen appliances!

Her trip clearly showcased all that this amazing country has available for travelers looking for cultural experiences or just a great time exploring nature and trying new cuisine. It also serves as an example of how technology can help us explore faraway places without having to leave our homes by following along with influencers like Mary who document their trips online so we can explore them vicariously through them.

Japan is one of those countries that should be on everyone’s travel bucket list with its culture, food, scenery, nature – you name it! With Mary Andaya’s recent visit to Tokyo and Kyoto we were able to get an inside look at what this majestic country has in store for its visitors both in terms of natural beauty as well as cultural experiences like tea ceremonies.

Exploring Japan was definitely an unforgettable experience for Mary Andaya – between taking in all the sights in Tokyo and Osaka and learning about science at Miraikan museum, it’s no wonder why this country has so much appeal for travelers! So whether you’re looking for adventure or knowledge, there’s something here for everyone.

You can follow along on her adventures that span junglescapes, bustling city skylines, ancient ruins and everything between; you never know what’s around the corner for this aspiring globetrotter.

Check out her Instagram page and keep following her to have deeper insights into her travel journey.
