With years of dedication, the talented Oleg Astakhov, who hails from Lutsk, a small city in Ukraine, has become a household name in the dance and entertainment industry.

Oleg has been dancing and winning national and international awards and competitions since he was a child. As a teenager, he won multiple Ukrainian National Titles in junior and youth divisions under the Latin American program. From 1994-1998, he was the National Latin American Dance Champion. Oleg continued to flourish and soon became a finalist of Bar 4, the most illustrious reality TV show in Poland, on February 28th, 2004. Although Oleg was the only foreigner on the show, he quickly became a fan favorite.

In 2005, Oleg decided to broaden his horizons by relocating to the United States of America. While many flounder in new climates, Oleg has continued to thrive. He has won numerous national US dance competitions as a professional ballroom dancer. Riding his wave of success, he launched his first dance school, Ballroom Dancing LA, in Alhambra, California, in 2007. Building on this momentum, he established more dance schools across California, which cater to the increasing demands for his choreography lessons and are renowned for their efficiency. In the midst of the economic woes of 2020, which caused many businesses to fold up, Oleg’s passion and determination spurred him to launch another dance studio in partnership with one of the world’s largest franchises, the Fred Astaire Dance Studios.

His YouTube channel, “Oleg Astakhov,” which he started in 2017, has become very popular, with a subscription base of over 400k, and over 224 million views. The talented choreographer and entrepreneur has become highly influential and amassed an aggregated social media followership of 2.5 million people. Oleg has over 12 years of experience training people in Ballroom Latin American dance steps through studio classes and online videos. He is known for his attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and ability to make every class fun while ensuring the proper mastering of dance steps down to the basics. It is no wonder that he is one of the most sought-after dance instructors, with A-list celebrities like Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande, and Gwyneth Paltrow on his list of trainees.

Oleg has expressed his desire to improve the lifestyle of people and make them happy through dance, a proven stress-relieving activity. Pursuing this desire, he created DanceWithOleg.com, a website that has been successful in reaching a wider audience. With the success of his website, he sought to make his dance lessons more accessible and launched an app, Dance With Oleg, which has become one of the best dancing apps in the world. The app’s engagement skyrocketed during the lockdown caused by Covid because of its ability to relieve the stress and tension caused by isolation and induce a more active and healthier lifestyle.

In his words, “My main goal for the app is to make people happy and improve their lifestyle. Dancing is an incredible hobby and the most amazing activity you can partake in. Dancing stimulates your mind and creativity and improves your physique,”

The app, Dance With Oleg, is available on Play Store and App Store. It underscores his sincere desire to see ballroom and Latin dance spread across the globe.
