It is always surreal to learn about all those people and professionals who make sure to cross boundaries and offer value to people with all that they do in their careers. We couldn’t help but notice the meteoric rise of one such passionate and skilled social entrepreneur named Jonathan Tjoa Algreen, who pushed limits, challenged the norms and built businesses since 2000. So far, he has founded, ran, bought and sold businesses several times, which had turned him into a leader and, most importantly, an impact driven entrepreneur.

Wondering who is Jonathan Tjoa Algreen? He belonged to a lower-middle-class Danish family, born and raised in the northern part of Jutland in Denmark. From the very beginning, entrepreneurship was what he aspired to do and hence, he founded his first substantial successful company at the age of 22 while also attaining his Bachelor’s and Master’s degree. He confesses that his knack for entrepreneurship had started at the age of around 6. From then on, he naturally developed his entrepreneurial and leadership skills. Today, he has around two decades of experience in building businesses while advocating for ethicality, social responsibility and transparency in business.

Jonathan Tjoa Algreen, over the years, has risen to the top of the entrepreneurial world as a serial entrepreneur, philanthropist, and impact investor. Currently, he is the CEO of a sustainable luxury fashion brand named “1 People” (https://1people.com/en/global/), as well as heading his own investment group, which has a focus on funding start-ups with a people and planet centric approach that also drives all the companies they invest in, also 1 People.

Under his company, Impact Business Investment Group (IBIG) , is 1 People, where he is the founder, along with his wife Rea Tjoa Algreen and also the CEO. There are also other companies of his, where he contributes as an investor, strategist and business developer, including Nordic Impact Bridge, Valified, DoLand, LOVENATURE Superfoods, and Wennick–Lefèvre.

Jonathan says that his focus right now is 1 People and Impact Business Investment Group (IBIG). The former is a sustainable luxury fashion brand with a strong DNA rooted in Danish design and minimalism, using only the best sustainable and ethically produced materials, focusing on the highest quality, it’s truly a brand with a strong people and planet centric approach. And, the latter is an investment group that seeks to fund the entrepreneurs of tomorrow. He highlights that the end goal of both companies is to eradicate poverty and contribute to a necessary change of how business is done in the world today.

The ace entrepreneur’s vision is to use business in a direct way as a force for good, making sure to implement a strong, socially responsible and sustainable approach in his businesses. He also runs his programme “Business For Planet”, which educates and mentors entrepreneurs that want to create positive impact in the world through their business. Their goal is to educate, mentor and support a minimum of 1 million new impact driven entrepreneurs by 2030.
