Kirk Cooper, founder of Ecom Automation Gurus, knows what it’s like to work hard to support a family and barely manage to see them in the process.

In 2013, he was working long days as a high school teacher, with all the after-hours work that entails coaching for extra pay. But Cooper grew tired of working so hard to get by while sacrificing his family’s need for his ongoing presence in the home. He wanted to give more of his time and attention to his one-year-old son and pregnant wife.

“I just felt like I was caught up in the rat race, simply put,” he said. “I was over-trading time for money and tired of making just enough to support my family.”

Realizing there had to be an easier way to balance work and family life, he began to dabble in Amazon sales, setting up his first storefront in the spring of 2013. At first, the business took up more of his time, keeping him up late at night, but he had a knack for it, and the money began to roll in.

Business and Teaching

As his business blossomed, Cooper began to take in between $40,000 to $50,000 a month. He also became overwhelmed with the work it took to ship orders, reply to customer inquiries, and keep up with inventory and marketing. Once again, Cooper sought a solution to his problem.

The old proverb goes, “necessity is the mother of invention,” and in Cooper’s case, that couldn’t be truer. To keep his e-commerce business healthy and realize his dream of making an income that didn’t interfere with family life, he needed to come up with a way to automate the parts of the business that unnecessarily ate into his time.

With that, Cooper switched to drop shipping and created an automated process to free himself from the grind. As a result, Ecom Automation Gurus was born.

As Cooper’s business grew, he doubled his sales and realized it was time to give up his day job. But teaching was something he loved, and he wanted to incorporate it into his new business in a meaningful way. He now uses his knowledge to assist his clients in growing their e-commerce businesses through automation and makes his money on his own terms.

“This is the way entrepreneurship works,” Cooper said. “You get an opportunity, you develop it, and before you know it, the fire is fueling itself.”

Helping Others Succeed

Ecom Automation Gurus has grown, and Cooper has had to increase his team of employees exponentially. Together they assist their clients with new and existing e-commerce businesses to make more money with less time invested in the process. How? Automation saves clients the time they put into low-value tasks, freeing their time for high-value tasks.

For instance, a customer placing an order may receive an automated response, saving hours of labor to reply to each one. Other things that can be automated for e-commerce businesses include inventory, shipping orders (especially if drop shipping), and flagging reviews for a response.

Clients also learn how to begin drop-shipping, work with virtual assistants, and improve customer satisfaction. His methods increase the potential for passive income while setting up the tools the business needs as it grows. Clients also benefit from automated data collection, which responds to marketing shifts with inventory adjustments and draws more traffic to their websites by keeping track of and updating SEO terms.

Ecom Automation Guru’s clients rave about the service and the benefits they have received. Under the tutelage of Cooper and his team, his clients profess to have experienced a considerable increase in income and access to opportunities they wouldn’t otherwise have had. Namely, several of his clients have quit their day jobs to pursue entrepreneurship dreams and make their e-commerce businesses a full-time venture.

Cooper is sincere in his wish to help others escape the treadmill of modern life. Ecom Automation Guru’s clients run the gamut from those running a side-hustle to full-time e-commerce business owners. Each is looking to improve their earnings without losing every minute of their personal lives to the process. Cooper is familiar with the dilemma.

He strives to give others the opportunity to succeed outside the standard 40-60 hour workweek.

“The way I see it, jobs and professions are not as stable as they used to be,” he said. “That said, online shopping is not going away. And as long as you are providing good products paired with good service, there’s less chance of things going awry with e-commerce than with many other fields.”
