Stefan Ottenbrite, the owner of Muskoka411, has garnered a huge following through his love of journalism. Muskoka 411 has attracted a huge follower base of hundreds of thousand viewers and readers through its creative and original content and a holistic approach to news coverage. Muskoka locals, cottagers, business owners, and even celebrities check out Muskoka 411 regularly to be in the loop of things happening in the cottaging destination of Muskoka.

Stefan, since his younger days, had a knack for documenting the happenings around town. He would photograph interesting sites and events, then write down his take on it. He was unknowingly harbouring a journalistic career! With the encouragement of his family and friends, Stefan kept covering more and more stories. While he was attending the tour of City TV on Queen Street West, he was struck with an epiphany and realised his passion for journalism.

Now firm in his belief and having realised his passion, Stefan decided to stay on this path and launched www.muskoka411.com in 2015. Today this media platform covers regions all over in Muskoka, Orillia, Parry Sound, Parry Sound District, Algonquin Highlands, Haliburton Major areas of Simcoe Country, Port Severn / Hwy 400 Extension, Notable Provincial as well as National and International stories.

Muskoka411 is the first to break all the important local news. With a commitment towards delivering every important bit of info to its readers, everything from the traffic, weather, major mishaps and events, is on the radar of Muskoka411.

Muskoka411 is the only digital news channel in Muskoka to have its reporters on the news scene. Muskoka411 hosts an impressive repertoire of clients including Cottage Life, Toronto Auto Show, Shaw, Franks Red Hot, Tim Hortons, Georgian College, Deerhurst Resort, Canadian Tire, Sirius XM Radio, Boots and Hearts, Muskoka Chrysler, Jones Soda, The Brick. Allstate Insurance, Leon’s, Touchstone Resort, Domino’s Pizza. And Stefan is committed to keeping and strengthening his clients’ and readers’ trust.

A fire investigation coverage story in Mississauga for Jewel 88.5 FM led Stefan to receive the best radio news award from Reel police in 2007. Stefan is a guest speaker at Seneca College for Radio Students and Employment Services. He makes the maximum of this opportunity to motivate the youth who have chosen any type of journalism as a career. He also onboards local students who have an interest in journalism and gives them a platform to brush up their skills and explore the world of journalism.

Stefan donates his time and money to the community by participating in events and awareness drives.

Stefan Ottenbrite says, “I feel like my pen and my camera are a part of me at this point. I feel like myself only when I’m covering a story and working to get it out to the world.”.
