In entrepreneurship and wealth acquisition, it’s common to have plans A through Z in your arsenal while working towards achieving success. For entrepreneur and multifaceted businessman, Kendrick Jones, his plans changed throughout his journey but the goals remained the same. Starting from baseball to Corporate America to entrepreneurship, Kendrick is relentless when it comes to building the lifestyle that he envisioned for himself. Now that he’s created multiple streams of income, he’s switched his focus to impact and is determined to help make dreams into realities for aspiring entrepreneurs across the globe.

Born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, Kendrick attended two different colleges, starting out at Savannah State University to pursue an athletic career in baseball. From there, Kendrick transferred to Claflin University to complete the rest of his education. Due to the lack of financial resources to create the necessary exposure to get drafted into MLB, Kendrick switched gears, deciding to explore Corporate America. Straight out of college in 2014, Kendrick took a job at the store of a major telecommunication company in the US.

When discussing his time climbing the corporate ladder, Kendrick says:

“I came into the business at a store where other reps didn’t want to go because it was underperforming. Within six months I had that store at number one in the region consistently. As I worked harder and harder climbing up the ladder, I was able to take stores that were underperforming to supreme levels of productivity. When I was ready to take my career to the next level, despite all the work I had been putting in I kept getting declined. So I knew that it was time to start providing for myself in a different way. I always had a vision of working for myself, starting my own company or getting into the real estate and stock market”.

With his explosive sales tactics, strong work ethic and unmatched business acumen, Kendrick continued to seek out new strategies that aligned with his goals of becoming his own boss and obtaining financial freedom. In 2018, Kendrick dove into the world of real estate, accomplishing a great deal of success in a short amount of time. Kendrick was able to put this new business venture under his belt, but the pandemic created some obstacles…and also opportunities.

As a true visionary, Kendrick had his future in his mind’s eye and pivoted yet again to another plan to bring him closer to his goals during the global pandemic – network marketing. With prior knowledge of trading in the financial markets, Kendrick was able to take the business model and make it his own, becoming a mentor, trader, and business owner through the platform and creating his own business called KD International.

When discussing the objectives behind his business, Kendrick says:

“At KD International we’re constantly instilling in our team the belief that your dream is not just some unattainable idea, it’s really a preview of what’s to come if you put that work in. So we’re not only reinforcing that importance of visualization, but it’s also showing you what it’s going to take to get to that next level. People come into this space and are given the information they need to learn income-generating skills. It’s up to them to take the information and really transform their life, but we’re giving them the guidance as well to get there throughout the process”.

To date, Kendrick has grown his organization to over 100 individuals spanning the United States. As Kendrick says, “impact over income” is his priority and global expansion is key to positively changing as many lives as possible.

Not only does Kendrick want to help the masses, but he keeps his reason for wanting success at the forefront of everything that he does – creating a better life for his parents. Coming from humble beginnings, Kendrick’s father – a military man – and his mother – a creative builder – both dedicated the better part of their lives to giving Kendrick and his siblings everything they could possibly need. Now Kendrick is determined to return the favour, helping them to retire and spend their days doing what they love.

Kendrick is leading by example when it comes to internal reflection, visualization and reinvention. When he did not have the necessary capital to pursue a baseball career, Kendrick persevered to find other ways to gain what he lacked. When his career at corporate America didn’t pan out, he turned to personal development and gaining wisdom through reading in order to realize that the world is not on his shoulders, despite how it may feel at times. He worked diligently to become the person worthy of the bank account balance he desired and says that having a vision is the key to progress:

“I had multiple people around me that didn’t see the vision. One thing I’m very certain of is when I see a picture, if it makes sense to me, I’ll hold onto it, no matter what – and I went through a brick wall to make sure that that picture came to reality. You have to work on yourself, mentally, physically and spiritually and after doing all that and growing through the things I’ve been through I’m in Super Saiyan Mode. Once you tap into that and that belief is there, nothing can stop you,” says Kendrick.

KD International is constantly growing and producing more and more successful entrepreneurs with the belief and mindset needed to realize their dreams are the vision of their future. With the inspiring journey Kendrick has taken so far, this entrepreneurial powerhouse will undoubtedly continue to innovate, create and impact as he expands his portfolio. In closing, Kendrick leaves his best advice for the aspiring entrepreneur:

“Discover what your why is. Your why is not abundance, your why is not to be wealthy. Your why is what you’re going to dig seven or eight levels deeper for. Your why is what’s going to bring you to tears. Your why is what you have a clear mental picture of – nobody knows what wealth or abundance is going to look like – your why is the end goal. The process might change but the why remains the same”.
