One way to leave your impact on the world is through music. Some have mastered the craft in terms of the right beats and words, just as they have with lyricism and other aspects of music. One such example is that of Geo Oku, a talented hip-hop artist based in the UK hailing from Georgia. Today, he is one of London’s most promising up-and-coming musicians, with extensive ties around the city.

Oku began his career in 2016, and in just a few short years, he has achieved significant progress. His tracks are well-known for integrating an energetic style and catchy beats. Oku’s music combines hip-hop percussion and rhythm with melodic elements from other genres as well. Finding pleasure in the process of making music is also a motivation for Oku, apart from the fact that he endeavored in this career so as to make himself stand out by expressing his perception of people, places, and the world at large.

When asked about what drives him, Oku describes the creative process as “exciting,” particularly when it comes to developing something distinct and different that makes people feel something. Oku further exclaims that his greatest goal is to be able to make people feel something through his music. Some of his greatest hits include Own That, Take A Trip, Lifestyle, and PayDay.

Oku, in addition to having a promising career as a musician, has also dabbled in entrepreneurship. He has been running G. Squad Productions, a well-known music firm, with his pals since 2016, with the goal of supporting undervalued musicians in the community, particularly those with a hip-hop background, and assisting burgeoning talent in achieving visibility. He has built this music brand from the ground up, simultaneously building worthwhile connections and ultimately gaining recognition in the music community.

On the topic of garnering mass public attention, Oku said that the music industry is all about making the right connections and of course catering to the needs of the audience. He believes that by using social media to network and engage with publishers, music supervisors, and bloggers, Oku was able to gain the exposure he deserved.  Lastly, Oku says that the best way to make it in the music industry is to be disruptive. This means coming up with a unique approach to music that sets him apart from the crowd. Naturally, it requires years of work and dedication to master this technique, which he is still learning and evolving accordingly.

As hip-hop comes of age in the world, it is true that people like Geo Oku will undoubtedly be at the forefront of it all, leading the way and influencing people with their ingenuity and innovative projects.
