In line with this, it started a Humanitarian Award that eventually birthed the Reality TV Hall of Fame. The latter’s inductees include Heidi and Spencer Pratt in 2015 and Janice Dickinson in 2016. It has even re-birthed the Hall of Fame recipient in 2021, who will be named soon.
The roaring success of The American Reality Television Awards is attributed to Executive Producers Kristen Moss and Andrew Ward, who started the program in 2012. “According to The Hollywood Reporter, in 2019, more than 75% of cable TV’s 25 highest-rated original series were Non-Fiction shows. We’re excited to give our industry something to celebrate during these uncertain times,” said Moss and Ward.
In the coming years, The American Reality Television Awards hopes to establish itself as the premier awards show for Reality Television. It also wishes to be deemed as an annual live event broadcast on a major, cable, or streaming network.
