Between the lines of people’s well-loved books is a glimpse of the life of the author who penned words into paper. Author and motivational speaker Cornell Bunting had a very challenging journey, and it turned into an inspiring story to tell. Today, using his books, the author is inspiring children and young adults, sharing with them hard-earned lessons and narratives filled with faith.

Cornell Bunting goes beyond entertaining his readers but lives to connect with his audiences through his words. The author aims to inspire them to see the light even in the darkest tunnels, as he himself has overcome great adversities. Cornell spent months in jail, framed for crimes he didn’t commit. He was a CEO of a security firm in 2013 when he faced charges of conspiracy, extortion, kidnapping, and possible murder. Eventually, Cornell was cleared of all accusations as the witness admitted that he had fabricated his statement about the author’s involvement.

Cornell Bunting was behind bars for ten months and spent two years of his life fighting in court to clear his name and reputation. While it was a trying journey, being in prison allowed him to reconnect with God and rekindle his passion for writing. Behind bars, Cornell was able to write four books. Additionally, he became determined to use his writing as an opportunity to prove to his children and family that the setback did not break him to pieces. Instead, it brought forth a stronger man with a purpose.

Furthermore, in 2016, Cornell Bunting was able to survive a 16-minute death due to cardiac arrest and amazed medical experts on the scene as he miraculously came back to life. For the author, the experience was a wake-up call, a signal for a new beginning, and opening a fresh page in his life.

Today, Cornell Bunting dedicates his life to his young readers and encourages them to live life to the fullest. Among his most popular creations is called Lion with No Roar: Finding His Calling. The book “mirrors his life, tells a story of love, betrayal, and redemption,” inspiring thousands of readers across the country. Cornell has written over 30 books out of intensity and compassion, and he continues to live his purpose.

Cornell Bunting’s sixth book is currently being released to young adult readers. Entitled The Bellman, the book centers around the life of a special young man from Jamaica named O’Neil. The story follows him around as he treads through life from childhood, adolescence to adulthood. The book uncovers how O’Neil learns about his strengths and weaknesses, taking readers on an incredible adventure as the protagonist grows through his experiences and finally becomes the man he’s meant to be.

Cornell Bunting was born in Jamaica but raised in Bristol, England. Writing has always been tied to his identity. He has written scripts for high school plays, performed numerous leadership roles, and gained recognition for his work. His latest feat, The Bellman, provides a new avenue for the author to share his story and motivate readers. The author aims to reach schools around the globe and fulfill his purpose of changing lives through his books.
