For three decades now, Keith Ross Nelson has been one of the strongest names in the field of stand-up and on-screen comedy. The star performer has made thousands of people laugh with his unique take on comedy that makes him stand out from the rest.

Keith Ross Nelson is a successful comedian, actor, black belt kung fu martial artist, and a multi-awarded master high jumper. He was also a director and co-writer for a T.V. series, Elective, which he starred in.

As a professional comedian, Keith Ross Nelson has performed in each of the 50 states all over America. Some of the comedy clubs he has performed in are Ice House, Liquid Blue, Punchline, Laughs Unlimited, Comedy Spot, Ventura Comedy Club, Comedy Underground, Flappers Comedy Club, and Harvey’s. He has also appeared in several comedy films and TV shows including Entertainment Tonight, Hulu’s Comedy Time, Mobsters and Mormons, The R.M., A & E’s An Evening at the Improv, Not for Nothing, and Electives. He has also performed in colleges, cruise ships, and for the troops.

With 30 years of comedy under his belt, it is no surprise that Keith Ross Nelson has worked side by side with famous personalities such as Steve Harvey, Tim Allen, Ron White, Brian Regan, Larry Miller, The Greg Wilson, and Rich Snyder.

Today, Keith Ross Nelson continues to win the hearts of many through his untainted timeless jokes. “I want to be known around the world as that guy, he’s the guy that talks about getting old. He’s cool and really funny,” says the comedian-actor.

His passion and commitment to his profession have indeed kept him shining over the years. What makes Keith Ross Nelson different from the rest is his unique act on stage. He loves to focus his comedy on the reality of becoming and being old, yet he makes sure that his delivery feels cool and hip. With that said, many have commented that his take is that of a cool old dad doing stand-up comedy.

But more than his streak in the comedy arena, Keith Ross Nelson is also a star performer in other spaces. In 1998, he was the second runner-up in the World Masters Championship for high jumping. He has also won three national championships for that sport. In 2000, he ranked first in outdoor high jumping, and in 2006, he ranked first in indoor high jumping. He broke the record on the track at 45 years old, and amazingly, he also recently obtained a third-degree black belt in kung fu.

Indeed, his success in comedy and other fields came with his burning passion and a strong commitment to the profession. His love for being on stage fueled his flawless acts. At present, he still continues to make people smile the biggest and laugh the hardest.

Ultimately, Keith Ross Nelson hopes to serve as an inspiration to young aspirants who are struggling with their dreams. “I want them to be inspired to keep trying and to never give up. Always strive to get better,” says Keith.

You can see Keith in action on Amazon Prime’s Not for Nothing, which he wrote and co-stars in. To know more about Keith Ross Nelson, you may check him out on Instagram, @Keithrossnelson.
