There are a lot of people who want to be entrepreneurs. There are a lot fewer people who have what it takes to stick to that dream and continue when the going gets rough and they realize how much work and dedication running your own business can be.

It’s even more difficult if you’re choosing an unorthodox path that takes you from one business to the next and doesn’t follow an established kind of business. It’s one thing to start a small clothing boutique, a restaurant, or even a consulting firm.

It’s another to chart a course from one kind of business to the next and turn around and find success and growth in each.

Sam Farao is one man who has charted that kind of course. His dedication to his entrepreneurial dream and unique approach might not be very typical, but they are what’s propelled him to becoming one of Norway’s most influential and successful entrepreneurs.

His path toward becoming the businessman he is today is an inspiration and educational one, let’s dive in.

High school, dropshipping, and big decisions

Sam Farao’s path started a lot more predictable than it finished. He had ambitions of being a successful businessman when he went off to high school. He decided that he didn’t want to work for someone else in high school when he was working toward being a successful businessman who worked for himself. So instead of getting a typical teenage job, he put together his own small dropshipping company.

For a while balancing the two was relatively successful, but eventually, it was clear that the time and space constraints of being in high school while he was running his business would ultimately leave the business to suffer.

Since the business was his goal more than the degree, having a degree was just a stepping stone toward his greater goals Farao decided that he was better off dropping out of school and focusing entirely on his dropshipping business.

That was the decision that really got him started.

Leaving money on the table, digital marketing, and next moves

Now that Farao was taking a bigger risk by investing his time and attention in his dropshipping business, he knew that he needed to take it more seriously and do more research to learn how to make the most of his existing business.

He quickly realized that there was something he hadn’t considered. Dropshipping was bringing in a profit, but focusing entirely on dropshipping other people’s products wasn’t the only money-making opportunity online.

His research showed that a lot of people were making good money with affiliate links, and he decided that his next move should be to carve out a place in that market as well.

In addition to dropshipping, Farao mastered SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and learned the ropes of digital marketing to launch several affiliate marketing websites. Eventually, after a lot of hard work, Farao had a successful dropshipping business and several successful affiliate link websites as well.

Many people would have stopped there. But for Farao his business successes simply provided the skills, opportunity, and capital to give to his next projects.

Startups and experimentation

Sam Farao now is known as a successful businessman with a wide variety of business experience and several successful companies under his belt. His business headquarters are located in Oslo Norway, but he also has businesses globally and in hot-spot cities like Malta and Dubai.

But he didn’t transition immediately from dropshipping and digital marketing into these big names and high profile businesses. There were a lot of smaller businesses and endeavors along the way.

Farao’s career path proves that he really specializes in startups and creating successful businesses in order to sell them and move to his next project and the next possible source of income.

In 2011 Sam Farao started a small salon business in Oslo, Oslo Hair. He ran the business and handled all the marketing for Oslo Hair on his own, which was critical to the ultimate success of the business. When Oslo Hair was clearly a successful venture and ready to run without his expert handling, Farao decided to sell his shares.

Even though the salon isn’t under his direct management any longer, Oslo Hair was well-positioned and is still the most popular salon in Norway. That speaks to the kind of success you can expect when Farao gets involved.

While Farao was still working as an affiliate marketer he also created two especially noteworthy companies, Netpixel Media and Captana. Both were founded between 2015 and 2017, but they were far from Farao’s only projects at the time. He was also successfully starting and running several other businesses at the same time.

Transitioning to credit and loans, using digital marketing to enter new markets

One of the hallmarks of Farao’s career is that he doesn’t stay in a single industry or business. Farao is always looking to see how his skills apply in other situations and for other kinds of businesses.

He started specializing in creating sniping websites that aim for ranking with a very specific keyword to win traffic and attract more customers. But, like Oslo hair, when the websites were running successfully and ready to go, he sold them to other businesses who could use the digital marketing and SEO work he’d already done to expand their own businesses.

While Farao was making and selling payday loan websites he was also working on a very different kind of website. He successfully co-founded Casinor.com, a comprehensive guide to Scandinavian casinos. Just like his other websites, when Casinor was clearly ready to run itself Farao stepped aside, selling the website for seven figures.

Recent projects and growth mindset

Farao might be one of those entrepreneurs that’s hard to predict and hard to entirely wrap your mind around, but there are a few things that are consistent. You know that he’s always going to be looking to push his existing skills to new heights, to learn and refine new skills that will help in the business world, and to find exciting new opportunities to start businesses and turn a profit.

His current ventures all exemplify that mindset. His big projects currently include Imperium Invest, a real estate investment company currently focused on real estate in Amsterdam and Oslo, Flexspace – an online platform that helps connect landlords with potential corporate customers, and Nutra CBD – a CBD oil company located in the Netherlands.

Real Estate might be a different direction for Farao, but if his history says anything, he’s likely to succeed in this industry as well.
